It's a sick game man. Online is great and single player is challenging. Let me know if you find it for cheap at superstore. I got mine for 54.99 before GST and PST, but I heard the price dropped from the original 74.99(w/tax) anyway. Back to the topic at hand, at least is looks like 2k put in some better looking bat models for the 360 version. It's good to see that after years and years of playing with whiffle ball bats they have something that looks normal. Now here's hoping they did away with the blue bats.

Is it just me, or do the visuals remind you a lot of All Star Baseball (of course, with some major visual upgrades)?

HEY blzer, IMO, If you want to include player models as visuals, All Star Baseball falls a bit short, although ASB was ahead of its time with their player models, they looked dumpy in comparison.
From what I've seen of these new videos I'm feeling optimistic about the (360) ball game.

I do think it would be cool if some company would bring ASB back, upgraded with the next generation systems.

I guess if there is one thing good about getting older, the baseball games get better as the years go by.

ASB was one of my fav. It would be nice to see it come back in some form. The more the better of course.

Oh how much I would have loved to have seen MVP MLB on the next gen system so we can compare. Only having one choice sucks.

              Hey Peter,
I agree competition always = a better product and the cost usually comes down with time. A great formula! This Monopoly thing should if possible be stopped, in most cases it does take away incentive!

              Are Monopoly's legal?

These video Baseball games are a form of art, and I don't think a true artist would let a Monopoly get in the way!

I believe the main focus of an artist is perfection. They take pride in their work. I think this makes some sense.

Although the bottom line for me is open markets are always better!

Do you know what a monopoly is? It sure sounds like you don't. If it were a monopoly we wouldn't have MLB: The Show and the first party developers wouldn't be able to put out a game, but they can (not saying they will, but they have the option). Competition seemed to have no effect last year on 2k putting out a quality product. It has been made very clear on these boards that 2k5 was probably their worst offering to date and they had to compete with MVP.

sadly, its the world we live in. companies see exclusice licenses as shortcuts to more $$$ profit rather than putting their resources into R & D.

ive been comparing the 2k6 yankee stadium on the xbox, xbox 360 , and the real thing through pics

the only thing i can see wrong on the 360 version, which is obviously redone, is the gap they have in right center between the stands is too big, and the back wall of the stadium with the white fence doesnt stretch far enough towards the right feild upper deck, because of the gap they have there. also the fans in one section of the upper deck look to be higher than the rest which is evidence that the stadiums arent 100% yet they just need to align them a bit more. in any case i beleive well be playing in the best cyber stadiums to date in any game when the 2k6 360 version hits. i cant wait to see how they did on shea.

The truth is everybody is out to make money. That is the #1 goal. They don't give rip about other companies being left out! That is just great business!
