I thought the vids looked pretty good. The animations were very smooth, although the double play animation was pretty far fetched.

On another positive note, the ball to bat contact sounded better.

This game has to be taken away from Kush. If 2KSports is going to hold an exclusive third party license for MLB games then it's got to do better than this. I have'nt played it yet, and I will play it before passing final judgement. I just don't get a good vibe from what I've seen.

Part of it is the fact that I've been modding the hell out of my pc version of MVP 05, and I'm constantly impressed by new datafiles, overlays, rosters, cyberfaces, game audio...etc. that various talented people come up with almost on a daily basis. It's very hard to look at a game that has been produced by a "professional developer" which is almost impossible to tell apart from last years version of the game.

I say the same thing as far as Madden is concerned. Guess this is the new world of "exclusive licensing" sports gaming.

Wow. Those are awful. Shameful really, if you think they apparently didn't even bother including new Busch in that mess. If I didn't have a 360 I'd call it a day and go buy a PS2 and The Show tomorrow morning.

too bad thats not saying much.. I had the show.. and it was basically the same as last years.. I still think that 2k6 could be better.. The show is way too simplistic..

Wow that has to be the worst DP animation I have seen in a while. Triple Play 96 had a better DP animation.

It's amazing how far we have come and companies just let the little things fall apart.

Ball to bat contact looked pretty good. Like someone said earlier the first half of the DP looked good but the throw from the SS was ridiculous.
Also did anyone else notice how the SS runs after the ball hit into the gap in last vid. He follows the ball almost all the way to the CFer making the play. He had no chance to make the play, yet he continues well into the OF(way to deep).
I'll wait for the 360 version.

Uggh, I really wanted this game to be good, but it just looks unrefined again. I'll most likely pass on any baseball this year since I only have XBOX.

Sad, but true. Wow these vids are garbage. I am looking forward to the 360 version. I just hope the anamations are better than this. What's up with those faces too. I didnt know the maniquin from the Gap plays for the A's.

In the Prior video it looks like he pushes the ball like a girl at the end of his follow through. Looks like they mo capped girls off the street. Seriously. There is no way the 360 version has the same anamations. We need some vids, or are they hiding it from us as someone else mentioned before in this or another thread. AHolbert, did the anamations look this bad in the 360 version?

I was looking at that double play that ya'll were talking about. I saw that it was horrible in motion and I couldn't help but wonder what the heck they were doing. What do you think I did? I downloaded the Quicktime version and ran it slow with my mouse. That animation looks pretty sweet if you view it slowly. Mechanice seem to be there....at least in the eyes of a casual fan. Check it out and tell me if you guys see it.

edit-Blow it up bigger too. Might not look as good but you'll at least have a clearer view of it.

Oh, and I thought that players signed balls before the games??

I don't think that the unrealistic element is in the transfer as much as it is in the fact that a simple wrist snap like that cannot produce that kind of throwing speed. It would require a nice cocking back and firing, which requires some time. The amount of time the player did it in is beyond impossible.

Oh, yeah I agree completely. The timing of a lot of things in the game is off. I kind of don't like a couple of those hits with the bat. Almost like they're slinging sandbags. Timing needs to be tweaked a hell of a lot in this game. It still looks pretty decent though.

That it does. I believe they do that animation so that the swings don't look as awkward when trying to hit high strikes. So, what's the fix? Lower and shrink the damn strike zone.

I made a huge post about how SO many things would be addressed with a smaller strike zone, yet Kush just doesn't seem to care about that.
