Re: This game has an ASB feel
I never liked the ASB series but have to admit on the last incarnation of it on xbox, they got the 'feel' right for a baseball game. And that game still had the best stadium renditions. But asb had a lot of gameplay flaws which the pre-Kush 2k baseball games didnt have.Comment

Originally posted by CardotFielding was one of the weaker points of ASB, so I am guessing this is not a good thing.
When it comes to atmposphere and detail however, ASB was the king. EA and 2K still aren't close to what the fellas at Acclaim were doing 4 years ago. Working scoreboards with real-time out of town scores that update. Fans adding a "K" sign for every strikeout by the home teams starter, brown ivy in Wrigley in April that turns green in the summer....etc.
For anyone that has never played the series, I recommend shelling out $2 to pickup a used copy on a rainy day. The game is far from perfect, and you may not like it, but you will see some very cool stuff and it will give new perspective on what can be done in a video baseball game.Comment

Re: This game has an ASB feel
Originally posted by DMB82As a fan of the now dead All-Star baseball series, I take real offense to the comparison. The only thing these two games have in common is that 2k6 has similar graphics as the ASB N64 era.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Originally posted by ImADopeBoyexactly, and it's sad that companies still arent able to do the same things FOUR YEARS LATER. At least EA made great leaps in MVP. 2k sports has done nothing. Its ridiculous.Comment
