I've had a couple of weird glitches as well:

#1 Batter hits a fly ball to right field. It looks like it's foul so I don't run to catch it. Ball hits just right of the foul line and bounces into the stands. Ball is called fair and instead of a ground rule double, the batter is allowed to run all bases for an inside the park HR.

#2 This one was in last years as well. Man on 3rd, less than 2 outs, ball hit to out-field. My OF catches it and the runner at 3rd tags up. If you are holding down on the left stick, there will be no throw, no matter how hard you hit the button or yell at the screen.

This title has serious issues... again I wish Microsoft would make MVP 06 & 05 backward compatible. Sure both titles has little issues here and there... but nothing like disappearing players, runs not counted...

Just got back from returning mine to Gamestop. The guy working there gave me the company line of "You might want to hold onto this a little while longer, we are being told a fix is on the way soon." Told thim no thanks if they actually fix all of the parts that need to be fixed Ill buy it then. He said "Yeah I wouldnt keep it either, I put it in my 360 and it fried the hard drive."

Would really like to see a BC MVP 06 because I am more into college baseball anyway. For now though, it looks like Ill be loading MVP 05 PC back up and going with mvpmods.com's MVP 06: MLB mod update to get my baseball fix.

I discovered what the issue is... I talked about it in this thread:

Basically a lot of the animation issues are related to how 2K6 handles the cache on the 360 HD. I learned how to clear the cache on the 260, and ever since I've had no weird animation glitches (ie., homeruns not going over the fence, runners called out or safe before the ball gets to the bag, collisions at the plate resulting in no run or out recorded). In fact the game runs much smoother and players react fairly quickly to controls now.

Believe it or not, I am actually starting to enjoy the game a bit now... however, I still pine away for backwards compatability for MVP 05 & 06.

Must have been Sheffield who disappeared. Worried about his contract status for next year and all that...

Ok had a interesting one today. Was playing a friend.. I was Toronto. In the later part of the game I pinch hit Catalenotto for the pitcher... after the inning I wanted to move Cat to 2b... and put in another pitcher... Well I went to defensive subs.. obviously that didnt work.. then to double switch. Well in the end the only thing I ended up with was my pitcher at 2 spots in the lineup. The same guy was batting 2nd and 9th... and when I went to the field since he was taking two spots.. there was no one playing shortstop... just blank area...Since I had to pitch to one batter to re sub another pitcher.. I threw the ball... he hit it and it froze and started making gimp noises... and the controller went berzerk on rumble mode. Pretty interesting.

And I thought I'd heard every 2K baseball glitch story in the book... Wow.

Dang it man! I was in my teams stat page and wanted to sort through each column and their wasn't a button to do that. Now we can't even sort.

When I want to sort through attributes I have to click in the left stick. Maybe sorting stats is the same thing? I saw it on the help screen in the roster section.

360 version.

I've also seen added runners on the bases in some cases that pop up and then disappear -- it's a wee tad goofy

No problem. I'm still at work so I can't test this, but hopefully this works.

I also find myself sorting through stats in baseball video games so I'll be a little bummed out if there isn't a way to sort.

I'm in the semis in the WBC, and my save file now can't load the semifinal game. It crashes in the introduction 100% of the 5 times I've tried.
