OUCH! I went to Blockbuster today to rent this game and the new Tomb Raider (both 360). I went to the counter with a ten dollar bill in my hand and the clerk said "That will be $17.92". I about crapped. He told me the 360 games are $7.99 each to rent, so I took a pass. It's probably better as I'd probably get freezes anyways. I'll wait until they solve this issue, if they do.

Well, my hang up is they removed the 30 team control. Ticks the heck out of me. I was planning on doing a roster, etc, like I did last year for the XBOX game. Excuse me while I call them MORONS! SCEA got smart and finally put it in, these guys take it out. Rant over.

I just want to check out the graphics. Personally I can't play it if I can't make the roster moves for all the teams during the year. I also want to see Lara Croft.

At that price there is almost no reason to not at the very least give Gamefly a try, not trying to change the subject but 7.99 is a little high to say the least when you can pay 21.95 for 2 out at a time and unlimited rentals per month.

i had a couple of pretty funny glitches i'd guess you would call them in a game i played today, i had a runner on 1st then i get a hit to centre field somehow i made my runner go to 3rd (still don't have the baseruning down) by accident as it was thome whos very slow, anyways the centre fielder throws the ball to the thirdbaseman (who needs cutoff men )who does a big stretch like a 1st baseman does, Thome doesn't even slide into the bag as soon as the 3rd baseman caught the ball he headed off into the dugout, i guess everyone but me thought it was a throw to 1st,lol. Another one in the same game, i hit a high chopper to 3rd, even miller commented on it but as soon as the 3rd baseman grabbed the ball i was called out like it was a popup, still i'm enjoying the game but you sure have to wonder how all this stuff gets by the testers, that is if they have any.

Really only interested in baseball and perhaps a couple shooters, but my 360 right now is a movie player. I don't even have other games for my PS2 exept The Show. the only games for my Gamecube are Homerun Kings and Resident Evil 4. Thanks for the info though.

I created a seperate thread, but figured this belonged here....

This may sound crazy, but I think that loading franchises and settings cause some glitches (At least in my game).

1. I started a franchise and played my first game. I listened to the commentary and noticed that the announcers were NOT saying that certain players had 0 HRs and 0 RBIs last season. In fact, they were saying the actual stats from 2005. I went on to play 5 more games and same thing. Actual stats. Then I saved my franchise , turned off my XBOX and eat dinner. Now I just loaded my franchise and the announcers are now saying the 0 HRs and 0 RBIs statement. Mad me mad as hell. At first I was like, well maybe it’s just a random glitch. Then I noticed I didn't set something on my franchise and decided to start it over. I then proceeded to play my first game and found the announcers were NOT saying the 0 HRs and RBIs thing again. I was like YES. Then I saved and loaded and there it was again. 0 HRs and 0 RBIs. Every time I load my franchise it starts this bug and if I start a new season and don't save they say the correct stats.


2. I started a franchise and thought that the 0 HRs and 0 RBIs thing was because it was season 1, so I decided to sim to season 2. However, when I got to the playoffs I noticed that the playoff series were set to 1 game only. I know for a fact I had it set at 5-7-7. So I started my franchise over again and then simmed to the playoffs. Now the series were correct, 5-7-7. I didn’t like the end results of my season, because CPU traded a lot of key players so I decided to start another franchise. This time after loading my franchise, I loaded my slider settings, simmed to the end and my series were back to 1 game series. So I started testing my theory and every time I loaded my setting while in my franchise my playoff series would go to 1 game. I have now started a franchise and decided to set my sliders in my franchise and then save just my franchise. That seems to have worked, because it saved my settings as well and my playoffs are back to 5-7-7.


I know that was a lot, but this announcing and 1 game playoff was really bothering me. Has anyone else experienced this?

As far as I know, it is not advisable to load settings while in franchise mode in any sports game as they are stored separately in the franchise file. It caused a glitch in CHoops and a dev stated that loading the settings should not been done in franchise mode so I assume it would be similiar in MLB2k6.

My friend had the same problem, he said you have to push down on the right stick..But he wants it to be a button..Can you change it?

Yup, Its in VIP Settings. Change the batting interface to Classic.

Don't know if this brought up but I tried MANAGING a game and played one inning and then joined the game in progress. Went to the game okay, but my batter would not swing the bat. No button I press worked. I paused the game and went to 'controller select' to make sure my controller was on the team that was batting. It was, went back to the game and I could not swing the bat.

Last night. Playing with the Padres. Barfield batting second got a hit, Giles steps up to the plate and gets in the batters box.

My hand hit multiple buttons on the controller, the screen flashed and Mike Piazza was getting ready to step into the batters box, Barfield was gone and Giles was standing on first base.
