Personally I have the pitch interface speed at 100 and have strike zones off from day 1 and still don't walk anyone (unless intentional).

I've been using payoff pitching and I just don't think it's possible to get a good amount of walks in this game (or most baseball games for that matter).

i've always said that there is no pitching meter system out there that won't be mastered by anyone who plays the game more than just casually, HH had variability built into its pitching system which was probably very frustrating for casual gamers when sometimes there was no way in hell you could throw a strike but great for us small market players, also espn 2k4 had good variability in its game, so i guess we need to overlook the lack of walks or pitch counts in bb games

Control is always what the gamer wants. To take that away in any fashion I think will be counterproductive. I would argue that you guys don't walk batters because you are "not afraid" of what happens if the CPU gets a hit. Have you guys jacked up the CPU hit sliders so that they recognize strikes better and get more hits. I walk batters when I am afraid that if they connect - my ball will end up 450 feet away. Consequently - If I am playing the Devel Rays - I will challenge hitters all day long and I won't walk batters. If I am playing the Yankees - I will probably walk 3 or 4 guys because I refuse to give in to Sheffield, Jeter or Arod.

Add me to the list at this point. I haven't seen the glitches as yet, but have had some realistic games with some great ebb and flow to them as well, everything from pitcher's duels to some shootouts. Inside Edge is a great tool and really does add to the game.

Relative to some of the glitchiness, I'm wondering if the people experiencing these issues have set up things like player beats and stadium music. I know in years past these complicated the issues with the game -- maybe the same thing this year?

Anyways, I keep waiting for the sky to fall and haven't had that happen yet

Not to say that it won't......

          Have fun.............
