I just emailed 2K about my extreme disappointment in this game. And I was a HUGE 2K fan. I absolutely LOVED the NFL 2K series..and the earlier MLB's...but this game just has so many problems that render it almost unplayable. I'm not even counting things like "infielders taking 5 seconds to react". Those kinds of things in this game could be argued as merely being "different" and taking some "getting used to".

But when the game freezes, or won't allow your fielder to pick up the ball until the computer batter has crossed home for an inside the park homer, it's just frustrating. Even little things in this game bug the crap out of me. The stadium soundtracks don't work, and even the player soundtracks, for the pitchers, plays the song of the pitcher LEAVING the game, instead of the one you're bringing in. I can't stand it. Also, I'm sick of hearing how no one in the game had "any homers" or "any RBI's" last year. These kinds of things are just signs of laziness, or poor development. And yet...they think it's worth $40-$60 a pop? Depending on what 2K tells me, I might be contacting the Better Business Bureau. How can they just sell a product that doesn't even work properly? It's just not right.

What would be justifiable in this whole thing would be if 2K lost their 3rd party license with Major League Baseball. 2K needs to step aside and let EA continue the MVP series.

It's sad that I'm even considering this, but I almost think 2K5 was better, in terms of playability and presentation.

I wonder if it is out of the question to think that maybe MLB 2K6 got sabotaged in some way? They have the EXCLUSIVE LICENSE, and they get the Boston Red Sox uniforms wrong????? The Red Sox are arguably the second most recognized baseball team on the PLANET! What gives?

Well the game doesn't have a virus, but it does definitely affect your 360's cache and has adverse effects. Fortunately they seem to only cause problems with other Take 2 games, which has seriously ticked me off since it has made playing Elder Scrolls a real pain in the butt now.

Allegedly the patch is going to be out sometime tomorrow, and my buddy is going to let me borrow his copy of MLB2K6 so I can apply this patch in the hopes that it will fix some of the issues MLB2K6 has created.

Having the wrong people work on the game. keep in mind, these are programmers, not necessarily fans. And maybe casual fans at best.

What really irritates me about this whole fiasco is just trying to figure out how Kush cold have botched things up so badly.

MLB2K5 was by no means a bad game, it had some issues but most of those were fixable with sliders (a la the Wild Pitch Bug, which if any remember from last year, I discovered the fix for with a simple error slider adjustment) and almost every remaining problem area was fixed in MLB2K5 World Series Edition.

I am by no means a 2KSports basher, and have frankly enjoyed most of their sports offerings better than EA's. But this is absolutely ludicrous. For every wonderful aspect they added to this game (i.e., even better batter/pitcher interface, and Inside Edge), they have seriously screwed up areas that really didn't need much tweaking at all (i.e., fielder control, baserunning), and added just silly enhancements (i.e., fielder collisions, which from my experience never result in anyone dropping a ball other than plate collisions, and the catcher cam/pickoff cam... huh??? why do we need that?).

All Kush had to do was use the exisiting game, revamp the graphics engine, add some depth to franchise mode, and keep Inside Edge... the rest of the game was fine.... How the heck do you screw something up so bad.

I have both The Show and 2k6 and I'm actually playing 2k6 more. With some slider tweaks I'm having a very fun game of baseball. I haven't had the freezing problem yet(knock on wood) and haven't seen any huge game stopping bugs.

Actually having quite a bit of fun with the game. 45 games into the season I am 2 games over .500 with the Tigers!

LOL, I just started a GM career with Detroit. I am boycotting all things Padres, so I randomly selected the team I would start my GM career with, and it was the Tigers. Off to 4-2 start. Home opener against Chicago up next.

i'm not going to lie and say i wouldn't like to see a few things patched in this game, anyone at 2k ever heard of a cutoff man, but all in all its fun to play.
