Hearing two things with this patch. First is doesn't fix the freezing problem. Second that it wasn't the freezing patch just an xbox360 update which would explain the first thing.

If it's the first thing, 2k sports is in huge trouble. I don't want to say death nail since that have the exclusive rights and are a big company now, but wow. This will put a hurt on their future baseball titles that's for sure.

If it's the second thing, talk about bad timing. Very funny, but very bad timing.

Yeah the 2ksports forums are flooded with people stating it doesn't work. Whether that's true or not is another story.

It also doesn't give you the option to apply the patch or not. You have to. Kind of sucks for those that aren't freezing and might not want to apply the patch.

I'd like to hear what some guys around here and are trustworthy have to say (ie: is it fixing the freezing or not?).


EDIT - I believe it might be the patch because according to some, it prompts you to download once the game starts to load. Same thing happened with the COD2 patch.

This is going to be comical if this doesn't fix the freezing issue. Talk about an influx of 2k6 on ebay. Should have known better to try the 2k baseball game out...

well i think its the patch b/c when nba2k put out their patch it prompted me to do so while the game was loading and mlb2k6 just had me do the same thing.

Let us know if the patch fixed some choppiness issues. Im hearing from some people over at 2ksports forum that a lot of the animations are smoother and they are able to make diving catches easily. Would love to see if this is true. I cant wait to get home from work to try it out!!

At this point I really don't care about the animations, does it fix the freezing in the game is what I'm more worried about.

I agree with Joeboo about trustworthy people giving us the info and not someone that wants to screw around.

I have yet to have a freeze. With my luck, I will download the patch and begin to get the freeze.

I never got the freezing problem but I got a lot of choppiness. When I re-formatted my HDD on Monday (because I finally started getting the CH2K6 jumpball glitch), that seemed to clear up the choppiness and the game does play smoother, as well as the animations.
