Re: anyone else experiencing the online whiner's

I throw about 70% to 75% strikes and throw another 10% - 15% on the strike zone line and the rest outside of the strike zone - mostly to setup the next pitch. The strike percentage is skewed because some users just swing at everything thrown.

When I bat I tend to take the first pitch and try to see in the early innings any patterns from my opponent. If I don't like the location of the pitch either in or out of the strike zone I will not swing. In addition to determing a pattern I also like to wear down the opposing pitcher so he is less effective in later innings.

i played a guy yesterday and he was throwing everything low and outside.i grounded out every time.did i get mad?no,i adjusted to the player i was playing.after a few innings,i realized how he was pitching me and i went with the pitches using the hit stick and i ended up pounding the ball.he eventually was forced to change the way he was pitching and i killed him and he quit.my point is that no matter how the person is pitching, it's all about patience and eventually you can get to the pitcher.also, everyone makes mistake pitches and you can see where the ball is and even if someone is trying to throw alot of balls, eventually they will miss their spots.

What's your XBL gamertag (or send me a friend request)? I'd like to play a game against you to see how I do.

To whoever said 75-80% strikes, 10% on the border and 10% balls I think that's a very good breakdown.

These little kids playing this game have no patience. I have been playing baseball games my entire life and have always played the exact same way. I've played my friends and family members and we used to have some intense battles especially on Ken Griffey Presents on SNES and the first Ken Griffey on the Nintendo 64. There was never any sort of "You throw me strikes I will throw you strikes" sort of BS around.

I played a kid the other day who started swinging at everything and when he realized he was striking out he paused the game and said "HELLO HELLO?...Then he started breathing hard into the mic and said " PITCH GOOOOOOOOD" he did this about 3 of for times throughout the game.

When I came up to bat he was pitching as fast as he possibly could obviously not giving any thought to location. It was pretty apparent he wanted two things. 1. To win the game playing his way and to have the game be over as quickly as possible.

Im sorry but when i play this games I take my time and think about my pitches and my at bats. I am not going to sit there and have some young teen dictate to me how to play a game that I have spent 60 dollars on and alot of heartache trying to get to work.

I would hate to take them to a game of real baseball and watch them hyperventilate because of the pace of the game.

              1) You should be able to see if the ball is a strike
              2) Think about the count....
              3) Don't swing at the first pitch
              4) Have a plan to swing or not swing at different pitch counts. Ex: 1-2 2-1 etc...
