Yeah, but Bonds have more of a slutch in his stance. He leans over just a little. I agree, but it is close then most. I thought AllStar Baseball did the best Bonds stance.

YEp that is right, but when you are 35 and most of the guys you played with are playing pro and you were better then them when you were in HS it just happens.

I must say, I think Slugfest did the best Bonds stance.

Interplay is a close second. MLB 2K6 has a Sheffield stance that has Bonds' bat movement, but the speed is too quick and the back elbow raises too much, dropping it down to third. WSB 2K1 has a great version of his old stance. Bonds' stance in WSB 2K3 has the body positioning and stuff correct, but the bat movement is little to none. I honestly think ASB comes behind all of these Bonds stances.

No game has yet to replicate Bonds' stance, and it can be so easy!

You want a ****ing story? Have you ever heard of Ray McDonald? He's now just a father of four, and coaching softball at a private girls' high school right next to my old high school. I coached his second youngest daughter with my dad three years ago, which is how I personally know him.

Anyway, before that, he was a H.S. teammate of Barry Bonds at Serra (which is like, three minutes from where I live). McDonald batted third, Bonds batted fourth. Bonds had the best numbers in the state by far. He had the home runs, RBI's, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, runs, etc. But there was one person that took him out of the Triple Crown race, and that was Ray McDonald, who beat him in batting average. I forget the exact numbers... I'll have to ask him again, and he'll tell you like there's a stat card in his back pocket.

That's his fondest baseball memory, as he wasn't really recognized for anything else thereafter. Wasn't drafted, either.

Actually, that ain't no story. Charlie Chaplin entered a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest and came in third; now that's a ****ing story.

That is no shock that guy feed off fastballs right down the pipe. Having Bonds bat 4th would make anybody have a high batting average lol. Just ask Rich A.

According to Brinkman, their major franchise overhauls and such will be more aimed toward next year. By system, I think it's possible they mean like... navigation menus. Though there will be under-the-hood tweaks I'm sure, like better simulated stats, smarter GM AI, Inside Edge, player progression, morale, etc. Things like that.

Hey, I could be mistaken. I know I made a post about it somewhere on some message board. That post was at the time when I was told it, so I have everything about it that I could tell you. I need to dig it out though.

I was looking at that throw more and more and see nothing wrong with the speed at all. If you are an outfielder in the majors and get to a ground ball that is that shallow off the infield and you make a throw home it will get there in that speed no matter what.

If you have ever been to a pro tryout they put you 250 feet away from home and have you throw to the plate, you better have at least that much on a throw to play in the majors, any ball hit like that will be fired into home holding the runner at 3rd unless of course it is Damon or Podsednik throwing to the plate.

Forgot about that game. Yeah, I've played it. I must admit, they are close as well. Not perfect, though. The two main problems are that 1) his bat doesn't come forward enough, and 2) each waggle doesn't instantly start right after the last one finishes. He always has at least a half-second pause between. Otherwise, like Sheffield in 2K6, it's another game that at least get his bat over his head like it really does, as opposed to being upright.

Plus, no game has yet replicated his stride, which I think really helps make his stance look better in a game.

It's been a while for me as well, but if there's a such thing as a photographic memory...I've got it. I rarely forget anything whether it happened 20 years ago or 10 minutes ago. I could even go deeper and recite the rankings for my JR year HS team - #4 in the country, #1 in the state, the 10 division 1 players we had, the 3 guys that played professionally (Mets, Rockies and Padres) to some individual batting averages or some individual pitching ERA's etc... My family always makes fun of me to my girlfriend telling her to never mess up because I'll never forget it as long as I live. It's true though. It's how I keep her inline.

Too funny! I hear you. I remember a lot too, just not as much any more. The older I get the harder it is to remember.

Forget the animations, what will break or make this game depends on these questions: 1) Will it possible to throw balls out the strike zone when you aim out of the strike zone? 2) Will there be great hit variety? 3) Will the CPU hitters adjust to your pitching? 4) Will it be possible to throw walks? 5) Is the fielding improved? 5) Is the CPU base running AI significantly improved?

So many questions so few answers. We just have to wait until the game is released to find out.
