    BP before the game...

[Man, that would be awesome if you could take BP before a game during a season. Just pick the player/players you wanna warm up and get their timing down. Playing College Hoops 2k7 made me realize this would be awesome.]

I always wanted this. But, it's gotta look cool... gotta be the whole thing. Normally it's before a night game, right? So, there's still sun on the outfield rim area, there aren't too many fans, you see them all walking around the walkways, music is echoing in the background, BP tops and hats (maybe even backwards), balls flying around everywhere, guys hitting fungos, players scattered around the outfield along with their kids, controlling the batter and hitting it like the old MVP multiplayer Home Run Derby camera after you hit it, etc.

This would be a great option...

Cool idea. Not as a separate mode that loads and all that, but just as the lead in to the game as was mentioned as part of the ch2k7.

hmm, Baseball games are long enough IMO. Maybe if baseball games had a save option then the extra time for BP before a game would be ok.

Also if batting had some kind of mechanics where you would have to do a timing, stick/button combo which is slightly different for each player, then I could see the advantage of BP before a game.

Mlb 2k6 did have a save option.

Here's what I think it can do for you:

Players have a natural rating before the game, right? Like, if they have a rating in an attribute... yeah. Anyway, if you begin to do the player's 7-5-3-1 hitting, you will learn how they are hitting for that day (how they are + and - with the hitting attributes). You can choose whichever players you like, or decide to do a full round, whatever. You may also affect their attributes based on how you hit with them in it.

Sort of weird, but that's what I came up with.

I think that would be a nice option also, especially if it worked the way Blzer said.

while it's a neat idea, they need to fix the in game problems first.

No offense to you, but posts like these somewhat aggravate me. Things can be done simultaneously, seeing that they're more than likely independent of each other.

I guess people should say that we should have block figures, no commentary, can franchise, ditch online play, and only have two teams with crap swing animations... as long as the gameplay is fixed first. Unfortauntely, it's just not going to happen. Things will come before and after others, and if there's an in-game issue that they know about (especially programming-wise), if it's possible to fix, I'm sure they're on it before adding BP before a game.

Blzer, do you just want to control peoples postings? I think he made a legit response. If you don't agree, can't you just ignore it rather than tell him that you are aggravated by it.

And no, they do not necessarily fix things before they add stuff. Historically new things are added without fixing other glaring errors. Did anyone infer, other than you, crap swings/only two teams/no commentary, etc., etc?

Sometimes threads get off topic. So what, but his comment wasn't off topic and certainly his post could have been ignored if it upset you.

Yeah we also need the 7th inning stretch and the grounds crews watering the infield. I think it would cool to have the batting cage pratice, but I still want to them to spend all the Disk Space they do have on game play issue.

He and everybody else. This game will have things happen whether we want them to or not. He's not the only person that has said "I don't care about (insert implemented feature here), fix gameplay." Obviously, that doesn't work. And like I said before... telling them to "fix gameplay" is just too damn broad of a statement for them to even consider fixing it.

People are asking me why I haven't yet bought a next-gen system. Why should I? Better graphics? I thought you guys weren't graphics whores. They are taking their time and resources to combine better visual elements with a better programmed game, and features galore. If you guys just want the "gameplay" fixed before anything else, then so be it... that's good for you. But I don't see how adding BP before games will affect that anyway. As a matter of fact, if it allows you to determine your player's biorhythm before a game, it is not independent from in-game play anyway.
