Every video I see just looks better and better. The dirt cam, Schmidt sweating like a banchee, Pujols doing his routine at the plate.... my god.

Its a mix of both Ps3/360. Also, theres a night shot when Schmidt is batting. Game just looks better on 360, period.

Really. I will have to see these vid today. I kept hearing that the 360 looked better, but people called me crazy! Oh well, I hope they are both great.

I really liked the videos and the stuff they talked about but why is it every video seems like the players are playing in a wind storm. Thanks for the info..

You can tell by them having wind on or not...Some footage showed nothing moving on the jerseys.

I'm now officially blown away. These guys aren't kidding around anymore. Even the smallest of things, like in franchise with a player who wears the "dirty hat", that the hat will start off clean at the beginning of the year and get progressively dirty as the season goes on? And every player will have the hat that they wear exactly like they do in real life? Those small details, that's just amazing to me that they are going to pull this off. I know, it's only eye candy, but still, it's just a whole different level that we haven't seen in a baseball game.

I also like the fact they got over 750 MLB face scans, and you can sure tell from the previews so far that there aren't going to be many generic mugs this year.

Two things. Either they are overdone. Or they have the wind on high to show you what it looks like. It is a cool freature so I am sure they want to really show it off and have the wind set to hurricane setting!

Every vid seems to show fly balls to the outfield and then cuts away just as the player throws it back in... hmmm. 2K is notorious for editing their vids in order not to show certain things - such as gameplay that maybe isn't all that tight or that hasn't been fixed.

My only gripe thus far:

No active scoreboards for out of town games.... I swear ASB did this, but I could be mistaken. It's petty, I know, but I love looking out there and seeing actually scores from around the league.

That being said, if that is the only thing I have to be worried about I think we are in for a great year of baseball. Did 2k have progressive fatigue last year?

I hope they tone the jersey movements down. I think they will if NBA 2K6 is an indication. early videos on that one had shorts and jerseys out of control and it was toned down on the final retail game.

I just watched two of the trailers...including the one where Brinkman explains his dedication to detail....WOW! I mean the breeze ruffling the players' jerseys, the sweat on the cap, even the backdrop...downtown Boston...the Prudential Building and the John Hancock building look DAMN good to me.


Now being that I absolutely HATED 2K6 (I played it twice) and it's been put away ever since, I am gonna wait until the game is officially out and has been played by the SERIOUS gamers. Serious as in those who value REALISTIC GAMEPLAY over GRAPHICS.

I laughed when I saw those BOMBS that Big Papi and Manny hit. I said to myself, Ben must be a Bosox fan. LOL

I can't see how anyone in their right mind that played 2k6 can't be impressed with this game. I played over many of the mistakes that plagued 2k6 and looking back I really wonder why I did, I guess I had no other option at that point. But man was that game trash. This game is beautiful and the attention to detail is staggering. I get excited everyday just to see a new video. Hopefully IGN starts releasing play of the day videos in February.

I agree. I was very hard on MLB2K6 as I thought it was a horrible game, but MLB2K7 looks very good right now.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it plays well on the field. The screens and video clips are nice, but I want to see 3-4 straight innings of gameplay.
