I noticed that the ps3 version had an x, o, square and a triangle for its pitching interface while the xbox 360 version had x, b, y and a...anybody else notice this? Its CRAZY!!!

Ok, sorry...couldn't help myself and mean no disrespect to Drew127 as this is/was an excellent question. Seems like both versions will be relatively similar but one of those questions that may be somewhat hard to answer until the game comes out - or a 'preview' comes out that compare the 2...

In my opinion there are two things that seperate the 360 and PS3. XBox Live is light years ahead of the PS network and the PS3 has the gimmicky six axis controller.

If you are a sports gamer only, then you have two questions to ask yourself.
      1. How important is online play to me?
      2. Do I really like MLB the Show that much better than MLB 2K?
good point m8, but we are yet to see anything concerning "the show" next gen version. so i really dont know...i am positive they wont make a worst game then the last the show 06 , which was already really good. as for 2k7, so far, so good. things are looking good, at least looking, lets hope it plays solid too.

sounds to me all this haggling over which system is this or that by all of you EXPERTS, is nothing more than personal preference, what you like is what you like, whatever the reason. you like the 360 cool, the ps3 cool, i ve had them both, sent back the 360, not that i didnt like it, just prefer the ps3.WHY? personal preference.

So true. Well said. Plus here's what a gamespot preview said...

"Before we get to the batting, it's important to note that the game arriving in March on the PS3 is nearly identical to the Xbox 360 version of the game. What this means is that the signature style animations and excellent-looking player models we saw in our previous look at the Xbox 360 game will all be in place for the PS3."

They are both powerful machine and I am sure they each have their strength and weakness. To me I can't tell the differnce in power, but some of the vids they had sure looked better on the 360, but if I had a PS3 I would feel the way. But I think it has to do with not being ready as the 360 game was.

Yes, obviously people care to an extent. That's why this thread was made. I think it's a legit concern...I just spent $600 on a PS3. You can tell me it was a dumb move all you want, and I agree it wasn't the brightest decision from a financial standpoint.

Back to my point...I would be quite upset to know that the main reason I bought a PS3 (for the 2 baseball games) came back to bite me in the *** because the 360 has a superior version of 2k7. Call me crazy for pondering over that...

PS we know the answer to all of this now anyways, after the Gamespot sixaxis preview today. I just wanted to make my point.

its entirely possible that the 360 version could look better this as the ps3 is brand new, next yr. however could be a different story, then again i remember when i bought the original xbox and everygame that came out for both the ps2 and xbox looked basically the same as they would just port the ps2 version over to the xbox, i guess its possible that could happen here except in reverse, in- house games are the exception here though.

It was released a couple months after the '360 version and the developers used that time to tweak some of the bad player likenesses and animations/glitches. I believe that's the same treatment the 2K developers are giving to Choops2K7 (given the extra development time). I would say that given that both versions of MLB2K7 are being released around the same time (or at least that's what I assume), both versions will more than likely be nearly identical. I think the fact that both PS3 versions of Choops2K7 and NBA2K7 look slightly better than their '360 counterparts has more to do (at this time) with having extra development time as opposed to the PS3 just being more powerful.
yeah but Fight night had been out on the 360 for a long time and it still looks better on the 360

Most reviewers (as well as my own observations) have stated that the PS3 version of Fight Night had higher graphical details and better sweat technology. Not to the point where the PS3 version blew the '360 version out of the water, but enough to suggest there was some graphical improvements made. Once again, I think this had more to do with the PS3 having extra development time rather than it being the more powerful console.

I say if you have a ps3 and 360.Get 2k7 for 360 and the show for ps3 so you have the best of both worlds
