Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
Other than the info out there, my opinion is these will essentially be the same. This is the first game releasing for both the 360 and PS3 at the same time. I really don't see there being too much of a difference.Formerly Favre4vr -
Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
I think both versions will be very similar as well.
If anything, the 360 version might be more polished as it was out last year and the PS3 version wasn't. I imagine the developers would have a higher comfort level programming for the 360 since they had done it before. Over the long run, it will all even out.Comment

Didn't IGN say that at this piont rigth now the 360 had better shadows and color? I think they will be the same. I didn't at first, but after seeing some more vids of the PS3 they look the same.Comment

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
The positive feedback for both 360 and PS3 copies gives me hope sense I'm going to be buying a PS3 soon...The reason is both baseball games I'm interested in "The Show" and MLB 2K7 are offered on PS3.

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
They will be essentially using all of the same art assets and everything else so they should be the same.
IGN's preview suggested that the 360 version was looking much better thanks to better colors and lighting. This could be attributed to any number of things (more RAM, GPU differences, programers conformt level) and it will remain to be seen if the difference are still there in the final retail version.
IGN also said there 360 version has better leagues at this point but the devs are trying to incorporate the same for the PS3. Online may be one area the two games differ.
PS3 version also has a tilt batting feature in addition to the standard controls.Comment

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
Since the 360 is much better/easier to develop for it should be a far superior product to the PS3 version.
The PS3 is pretty much a hot mess developer wise, which is a known fact stated by many already. I wouldn't want anything to do with the PS3 at this point, based on what I've been told.....Comment

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
Very ignorant statement. I think the original creator of this topic should listen more to the previous statements made in this thread. Both are equally capable consoles, and I'm almost certain both will look nearly identical. Need proof? Check both versions of Choops 2K7 and NBA2K7, both nearly identical.Since the 360 is much better/easier to develop for it should be a far superior product to the PS3 version.

I own all three next-gen systems and some say the PS3 version of NBA 2K7 and Madden 07 look and play better on the PS3.Very ignorant statement. Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
Yeah, I do agree with that assessment for the PS3 version of NBA2K7. It was released a couple months after the '360 version and the developers used that time to tweak some of the bad player likenesses and animations/glitches. I believe that's the same treatment the 2K developers are giving to Choops2K7 (given the extra development time). I would say that given that both versions of MLB2K7 are being released around the same time (or at least that's what I assume), both versions will more than likely be nearly identical. I think the fact that both PS3 versions of Choops2K7 and NBA2K7 look slightly better than their '360 counterparts has more to do (at this time) with having extra development time as opposed to the PS3 just being more powerful.Comment

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
I own both systems as well and I played nba 2k7 on ps3 and I personally like the 360 version better. I think the 360 version will be better performance wise and in graphic quality.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
I actually feel the opposite way. As far as I am concerned every sports game made for the 360 and PS3 going forward will look and play the exact same way. People will try to disect it and if you look hard enough I am sure you can come up with something.
In my opinion there are two things that seperate the 360 and PS3. XBox Live is light years ahead of the PS network and the PS3 has the gimmicky six axis controller.
If you are a sports gamer only, then you have two questions to ask yourself.
1. How important is online play to me?
2. Do I really like MLB the Show that much better than MLB 2K?Comment

Re: 360 version vs. PS3 version
That is exactly why i got a PS3..for the options of baseball games plus the power of the PS3 is in my opinion greater that the power of the 360PSN: ckarlic
