I thought last year that the players in HH were just too generic looking. You couldn't tell the difference between Barry Bonds or Kenny Loften at the plate. Other than skin color, all the players kind of had the same look to them, IMO.

I am not so sure that this has been changed. I saw a picture of Bonds batting and I still got that same impression of him. In this day and age when other games are going to extremes like capturing the players' faces and putting them on the player models, the least HH could do is make the players look somewhat different.

im not exactly sure why, but the graphics in WSB just dont appeal to me, the pitching motion is akward and some of the animations just look silly, i also think the presintation is dull, the menus are easy to navigate but overall pretty rigid and lacking any real creativity or asthetic value, im not trying to trash this game i owned last years version and played the hell out of it, i just think the graphics are a tad off....

I agree...it looks very good, but not great to me. I think MVP looks better and ASB is about comparable. Last year's game had some game-killers for me (baserunning, pitch speed, etc). I know they supposedly fixed this stuff for this year...I hope so.

I am not into bashing any game...I hope they all score 10/10. It comes down to what your personal preferences are..some people will ive and die with HH for the realism and sacrifice a bit on the graphics, others will love ASB for presenattion, franchise, and solid gameplay. Still others love WSB for the look and feel and gameplay. No one is right...and no one is wrong. It's like with women...whatever works for you.

I don't know if any of you guys (or gals) notice but IGN is giving WSB2K3 a lot of love. I think it's their way of saying that WSB2K3 is going to be all that or so far it's the best out of all the games they played up to this point. I don't see them covering other baseball games like this. When was the last time you seen IGN do a four part article on other baseball franchise modes?

That's a heck of an assumption! I have no clue how, why, or when any game site covers a game. I don't think anyone else does either unless you are on staff.

Like I said, I hope they all score 10/10...truth is, all will have an audience who will defend their game to the death...as it should be...there is room enough for all of them

It got far and away the most coverage and WSB got a 9.0 to a 8.9 for ASB. One thing to add, World Series Baseball (Saturn) also happens to be the editor of both articles favorite game... Not saying he his biased just raising a point.



Arenas I know you mean well but honestly, until the games actually come out and you have played them can we hold off on the "Best Game of the year threads"

Movies and screens are great but until I play a game that is simply eye candy.

Amen. Until they are all out, who's to say which one is "best".

One thing is ceratin; this shoudl be the best year in the history of baseball videogaming. It would appear there are at least 4 legitimate and viable options and all of them look promising.

I, for one, am stoked.
