It is in the Show. That game has roster control that lets you control the rosters of every team.

I wasn't clear in my post. He had mentioned The Show.

I wonder how this game handles "forced trades"? Let's say I control the

      Padres
      Dodgers
      Giants
      DBacks

Let's say Boston trades Manny to Oakland for Kielty (I know, I know, but indugle me,lol).

Could you use the Padres and trade a player to Boston for Manny, trade Manny to Oakland for Kielty, then trade Kielty back to Boston for the Padres player and not have it totally mess up the lineups?

Inkcil, this just does not seem to be a priority for game companies. It seems like EA is the only company that realizes that this is an important feature fro some of us. Live, Madden and NCAA all have that feature. 2k only includes it in College Hoops.
There was a way to do that in 2K4, where you could play/watch any game on the schedule. Just because you couldn't do front office stuff doesn't mean you could watch/play such games. If that feature is okay with you, I would really hope that they put that in again next year.

In 2k4 and 2k5 you could control all 30 teams. With 2k6, they took that out of the game and limited it to 4. At least with college hoops, you can play any game even if you can only control 4 teams.

I could live with only being able to play 4 teams as long as you are able to manage the rosters (trades, call-ups, send-downs, etc.) for ALL the teams (obviously I prefer to keep rosters REAL for each team).

Yes, but you can't do those roster moves unless you force trades and I think that would probably just screw up other teams lineups.

So you mean you want to be able to play as any of the teams (all of them)?
You can still make all the trades and stuff for all the teams, do the call ups and send downs, etc.
I want the option to watch/play any game between any team at any point in the season if I want to. I only do it to watch good or crucial matchups. Or if say I lose in the playoffs I don't want to just press "X" and advance to the Next Season Menu Screen...I want to be able to watch to see how the World Series turns out.

AI in-game logic (waching CPU vs. CPU) seems different from AI out-of game logic (when you press a boutton to get a simmed score and stats), and I truly enjoy the former when it is a game w/ good gameplay.

I know. NBA 2k7 having control over 8 was better than just one...at least I was able to set it up so I coudl see Labron, Duncan, Wade, Nash, Kidd, Carmelo and Kobe anytime I wanted.

But this is especially disappointing with MLB because they gave the total control option in 2k5. Four sucks (but it's better than 1 or 2). I was hoping they would at least double it to 8 like in the NBA game.

Someone said MAdden Next-gen didn't have the feature in Franchise mode...that you couldn't pick a random game and leave the controller in the middle and watch that game. I guess they were mistaken.

I just never understood why this option is such a problem now when it used to be in all sports games years ago.

I don't either. I used to like playing at least one game in each of the ballparks, kind of like my own "Sunday night baseball" because I couldn't play a whole season.

I give a crap about this feature too. With every sports game, it's one I look for. I hate the feeling that my team is the only one that plays any real games. Especially in baseball, there are some teams that your team will never play in a season, so these teams end up being numbers only.

I remember playing Madden 03, I think it was, and I was a few years into my franchise. At that point I was only playing my games, but then I noticed a CPU-generated rookie QB named Ken Thomas was tearing up the league. He played for the Cardinals and I didn't play the Cardinals all year, so I watched one of their games just to see what he was all about. Ever since then, I always look for the ability to play or watch any game on the schedule.

One of my only complaints about MVP 05 was the inability to play any game. Luckily, someone made a mod for the PC version that lets you switch teams, so I might just stick with that game yet another year.

While I'm all for including the feature, it doesn't bother me. I do all I can to complete 1 full 162 game season with my team, much less play other teams' games too.

                          Exactly.... same here.

However, what I WOULD like to see added is an ability to WATCH the playoff games as a non-participant...

Let's say I get ousted in the Wildcard Round... or didn't even MAKE the playoffs. I'd like to have an option to be able to watch, and maybe even skip after I started watching a game. Only for the playoffs, mind you.

Me, personally, I probably wouldn't do this for anything other than the World Series, but still.

To each his own I guess. I would rather have the choice play a Yankess-Redsox game with the division on the line than a game then be forced to play only with my team no matter what (especially if im out of the pennant race). Like I said it doesnt matter to most people thats why its not a priority. Doesnt take away from the fact that 2k5 had the feature and theytook it out for no reason

Yep, in Madden you can control every team so you can watch or play any game.

I dont understand either..this feature was in Tecmo Super Bowl.

We are on the same page. People keep on bringing up "I don't want to play all those games" but its not about that. It's about brining your season/franchise to life by not making every other team and every other game besides yours simple numbers that pop up on the screen to represent how the rest of major league baseball is doing.
