Well, I did it again.
Last year I reserved MLB 2K6 at GameStop in hopes that I would see a miracle; a good baseball game from 2K Sports. I went ahead and bought it and to no surprise, the game sucked. I bashed the game to no end of forums and have continued to do so, mostly because of my anger at the exclusive deal with the MLB, and hence no MVP. I swore to myself that I would not even bother looking at MLB 2K7 but here I am, with the game reserved once again hoping for yet another miracle. I truly hope that I eat my words about how bad this game will suck. I would give up, without hesitation, every game that I have and not play another video game for a year if this game was as good as MVP 05. All I want is a good baseball video game. Its been nearly 2 years since I've had one and I really can't stand it. I honestly know how 2K football fans feel. Here's hoping to Ben Brinkman's turn around of the 2K series.Tags: None -

Football is my favorite, but I'm in the same boat as you. When I go to pick Crackdown up, I'll be pre-ordering GRAW2 and MLB2k7. After last years game, I said I wouldn't buy another baseball game til they improved. By the looks of things, they have. Just hope I'm not wrong..Comment

Re: Well, I did it again.
That said 2k7 is looking very promising and having Brinkman on board I'm really looking forward to it.
Baseball games are killing me though, I was a huge fan of the All Star Baseball series then they had to end it, so I hop on the MVP bandwagon and it was amazing, then 2k signs for exclusive rights and we get MLB 2k6 ugh.
Sucks that due to exclusive rights deals we lost the best NFL game (2k), and also the best baseball game (MVP).Favorite Teams:

The PS3 is really the system to have if you're a baseball fan. Not trying to start a best system war or anything... its just a fact.Last edited by ericjwm; 02-12-2007, 05:54 AM.Comment

Re: Well, I did it again.
Yeah I don't own a PS3 (due to more games for 360 I like), but if I were to buy a console strictly due to baseball games being my absolute favorites PS3 would win by far due to having more than one option, and The Show is from everything I hear about it a great sim.Favorite Teams:

I haven't played the 2K baseball game since 2K4, precisely because I waited to see what OS'ers had to say.
Why didn't you wait for the demo before reserving it?Comment

Re: Well, I did it again.
Preorders aren't that big of a deal though, if he downloads the demo and hates it you can always go to wherever you preordered and either cancel it and get the money you put down on it back or move it to another game you want.Favorite Teams:

What is the point of reserving games? I could see if it was going to be sold out but even the big titles are never sold out. You don't even get it earlier than anyone else for doing it. So I ask what is the point of this thread and reserving games? If it is another I hope this game is playable thread, Than I am with you on that.Comment

Re: Well, I did it again.
I'll be waiting for a few days worth of impressions, before I pick up a baseball game this year. I'm leaning toward 2K7 for 360, since the visuals are so beautiful. However, if the gameplay in The Show (PS2) is leaps and bounds better, I'll get that.XBL: Mean Greene
