My EXACT thoughts on baseball gaming this year.

I say this for every game and then at lunch time I come here to OS and end up buying the game on the way home from work I am an easy sell too. If I hear one good thing about the game, I am sold. I need help.

I reserved it. I actually thought 2k6 had a lot of potential, just potential is what it is and the game simply wasn't finished. We shall see if this is a wise purchase.

Something to help you: The first rule in "Success" is knowing what you're good at and knowing what you're not good at. So, at least you realize you're an easy sell -- Not good. Now correct this, wait and read the reviews of the suckers who buy early or rent the game. These video game companies don't deserve our blind loyalty anymore. The sometimes put out great games. And, they sometimes put out bad games. All the while, they always say they next new title is the best thing since sliced bread. Patience is a virtue.

I did it again myself, only what I did was put 2k6 for the 360 in my machine last night and tried to play a game. Well, with the media for 2k7 all dried up, this is going to be a very long 3 weeks.

I dropped 5 bucks on this and UEFA two days ago. I'm always saying every year how I've bought my last games and am going to just get the roster updates. But then I see some vids and hear about the new physics, graphics or next-level AI and I've gotta have it. I'm a techie-ho.

Hmm, this thread is a nice reminder that I still need to reserve it. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be another glitch-filled arcady mess.

If it is another I hope this game is playable thread, Than I am with you on that.
The point is it guarantees you'll get a copy. Its not like you pay any extra for it so its not a big deal putting down $5 to guarantee yourself a copy.

For College Hoops 2k7 this year for 360 I forgot to preorder and the 2 gamestops and 2 EBs in my area sold out all their copies, on top of that best buy, circuit city, etc didn't get the game in as expected so I had to wait til gamestop got their next shipment in a week later. Not a huge deal but I'd have much rather got the game the day it came out.

Yeah, 2k sports is known for initial small release quantities. I'm going to pre-order my copy tomorrow. At least I know they'll hold it for me if I want it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I just never ran into that problem. I guess people don't game as much around here.
