The quality of MLB 2K7 determines if I buy a XBox 360 now, or sometime next fall. I'm on a limited budget, moving to a new place in April, and have very little extra cash. The lack of extended videos and extended "hands on" impressions is pushing me towards The Show on the PS2. And once I spend that 40 buckaroos, there is a good chance I will NOT be able to pick up a 360.

Now don't get me wrong, The Show demo plays great. But 2K7 is the best looking sports game I've ever seen. And I'd like to have a little bit of that action for myself!

Regardless, we'll all know much more this time next week. Didn't one of the mods on this board say Steve was either a) getting a copy the end of last week or b) getting a chance to play the game during a question and answer sessionthis week?

I too, will go with The Show for the ps2 - but ONLY if MLB 2k7 fails miserably.

The demo should be out soon and from the impressions, you should get a good idea on whether you will like it or not. Just read how people have dissected The Show ps2 demo... I'm sure MLB 2k7 will be no different.

Not that I think the game will be horrible but I just quite simply want a baseball game and my only choice is a PS2 game or 360, though I do think it will be much better than last year's game.

They even invited some members of this board to play it and report back to us - and generate tons of hype.

So why, then, a week before release... has nobody received an advanced/playable copy?
I was one of those people that went to play it early. It was an awesome experience.

oh so you were also at CES?
COOL...i ll definatly take your words over any others assumptions and hopes words ive been hearing here till i try it and have my own thoughts.

can you simply put in number for us to have and idea?
          like mlb 2k6 1 to 10?
          than mlb 2k7 1 to 10?

so we can at least have an idea of how much the game has improved..no need to go deeper into analysis as i think every person here has a diferent point of view, meaning that each aspect of the game has a diferent importance for every diferent person...so i would like an all around grade for the game.

I am pretty sure we will see some POTD today or tomorrow. I just wish they would tell us when the demo was coming out, or at least give us a date that it might come out. Oh well, hoepfully it comes out next week. I am getting ready, I just hope it plays solid it doesn't have to be perfect, but I want a good playing game too. If not I will still get it just for the graphics. I am still a graphic whore!

Yeah, but to tell you the truth that was not even a beta version, so it probably is a lot different, but if it was fun to play there and there were a lot of chances made from last years game. Then that can only be great news, because that means they fixed a lot of things since that viewing. I think it will be a solid game, graphics and gameplay was the main focus.
