does anyone have any luck so far in San Diego? I've tried best buy, fry's and circuit city and the wal mart by my house but so far no luck.

Re: Official "Who has it?", "Where is it?", "When did it arrive?" Thread
I need to sound off now. I called every store you can think of,and looks like tomorrow,no way out. O.k. fine. I preordered at Gamestop and I'm good to go. Here's my rant-I called EB games and here's the conversation "Will you have MLB2K7 tomorrow or is it likely to come in today?" E.B"It ships from the warehouse today and will be in tomorrow for sure. Me"o.k-thank you" E.B."wait a minute, you know we only ordered 2 copies so if you didn't pre-order you'll be outta luck. Those 2 copies are pre-orders. But, you can still come in today and reserve a copy for only five dollars". I'm gonna beat a dead horse now and make another point about pre-ordering. For starters,he was being a wise apple. "Outta luck?" what is that suppose to mean? Is that customer service? I've done customer service for over 3 years and if I got turned in for saying that,I would have got canned or wrote up. Back on subject-there are people who want to see pro reviews or community reviews before buying. Yeah,I know you can pre order for 5 bucks, but they are making so you HAVE to if you want it from them! well, where's the payoff for the consumer? more than not they don't have it early for you(that would be a nice incentive) or something for being a loyal customer instead of getting some smart aleck. I've always try to support the game shops and be loyal,but-it just seems lately they aren't interested in remembering who keeps their places open-us! you, me,and everyone reading these posts. One more thing, what about people(the casual gamer) who isn't on these boards and sees a commercial tomorrow morning, goes to a gameshop(That is suppose to sell video games) and gets the Dr.No action. Think he'll go back? My final point is-pre order or not,any new games,I don't care what it is,does deserve some over ordering. Like my town-100,000 people-baseball season is upon us-gee-if I were a manager I'd be thinking, maybe there's some people out there that might want a baseball video game? na-that's crazy.
I agree I would never tell a customer over the phone you are "outa luck" bet then again I dont make 7 bucks a hour either. Most of these guys are college students working their way through college, give them a break.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

It's funny you mention all this, because I raised an eyebrow today as well about pre-orders.
When I called GameStop, the guy told me about it coming in tomorrow, and he 'recommends coming in today and putting down five dollars to reserve a copy'. I think to myself, why should I? If it comes out tomorrow, it comes out tomorrow; there's a dozen places within a ten mile radius that I could get it, hypothetically. I'm calling you to see if I can get it today.
Then it dawned on me: they want you to reserve it with them - news flash - so that you'll buy it there opposed to somewhere else.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it a racket, but there's definitely an monetary incentive for them, and very little reward for us in all this.I am become death

Yup, after calling a handful of places around Palm Beach County, I gave up. I have to work tonight anyway. I reserved a copy at a nearby Gamestop and it looks like I'll be enjoying the game tomorrow with the vast majority of everyone else.
Good Luck.Comment

The reward is that you are guaranteed to get the game tomorrow. I hear this every year and then see the same people complaining that they cant find the game release day. I would rather put 5 dollars down and only have to go to one place then worry about finding the game release day and calling every store to see if they have it.Comment

Re: Official "Who has it?", "Where is it?", "When did it arrive?" Thread
I just got back from my local Walmart (Evansville, Indiana). I went in for other things, but thought I would check out the video games. The guy there was shelving games and actually had about 30 copies of MLB 07 The Show. I picked one up and asked about 2K7. He told me that they had several boxes of them in the back but that he couldn't put them out until at least midnight.
Now, I didn't think this game was street dated. Am I wrong? He said they would be putting them out at the same time as tomorrow's CD's and movies.
So I found a place that actually has the game - I just can't get the guy to sell it to me!Comment
