Yep...local walmart (morehead, ky) has them, but won't put them out. I'm trying to call my buddy who is electronics supervisor...

We have three local Walmarts and all three have them - BUT NONE WILL PUT THEM OUT! I thought maybe it was just the one I mentioned earlier, but I guess not.

One of the guys even told me that they are NOT street dated. They just have explicit instructions from "upper management" to not put them out until they do the rest of Tuesday's new releases.

I have zero ideas why they would do that - it wasn't like they were in the ad this week with at stated release dated.

I just got back from my local Walmart (Evansville, Indiana). I went in for other things, but thought I would check out the video games. The guy there was shelving games and actually had about 30 copies of MLB 07 The Show. I picked one up and asked about 2K7. He told me that they had several boxes of them in the back but that he couldn't put them out until at least midnight.

Now, I didn't think this game was street dated. Am I wrong? He said they would be putting them out at the same time as tomorrow's CD's and movies.

So I found a place that actually has the game - I just can't get the guy to sell it to me!

Haha, which Walmart did you go to? I stopped by the East side at lunch for ****s and giggles, I didn't see it and didn't bother asking.

GTA'ers, VGP in Mississauga has it in. I bought one, there was a guy who already bought one so they have 3 or 4 left. HURRY!!!

I, on the hand, now work from 4pm-2am so my copy won't see my 360 until after

does anyone have any luck so far in San Diego? I've tried best buy, fry's and circuit city and the wal mart by my house but so far no luck.

I don't know where you live, but in North County, it's tomorrow. I can't remember the last time we got a game here early.

Maybe after the horrible game that 2K put our last year they are afraid to over order it?

Yeah,I was thinking that too. I just think it's messed up that a retail store that sells chips and tee shirts is more likely to have a new release than a "Video game store".

Dude pre-ordering has been around for a while. And you do know that the money you put down to reserve the game goes to the cost of the game right? Its more a a convienence than anything. Not only does it garantee you a copy on release day but it also saves you from hunting for it. I for one pre-order 99% of the time. There are no gimmicks or games being played with you by eb. A pre-order is just simply a pre-order.

I've never EVER had a problem walking into a store at noon (on the release day) and purchasing a game. I don't care HOW much hype the game has.

They almost use car-salesman tactics to get you to reserve games.

Reserving a game has many residual benefits for EB/Gamestop:

1. it puts cash in their hand before having to exchange a product ... those $5.00 can be used freely however they choose. (investments, interest baring accounts, etc)

2. it gaurantees us another visit into the store, where their car salesman "customer service reps" can attempt to attach other high margine items on us.

These two things a lone are extremely valuable to a company doing thousands of transactions a day... I can imagine there would be many more.

Yep, I picked up my copy at EB Games near St. Clair and Keele. It looks like a lot of places in the GTA got this game early.
