    Something to remember...3 year plan....

i've already seen a lot of complaining based on a 3-inning demo. Imo, it's leaps and bounds better than last year. I'm sure there will be issues. The fielding camera does suck. Remember, they have been honest with us and told us that they have a 3 year plan to get this to be the best experience we've ever had. This is only year 1. expect some quirks, bugs, etc. Based on the demo, it still should be pretty good.

Good post, and I agree. Those expecting The Show or MVP are going to be disappointed. I've played about 5 full games now, and while I think 2k7 is a solid representation of the sport, I'd still put it a notch below the above mentioned in regards to gameplay. It's a significant improvement over last year's game though.

You said it. For the heck of it, I put in MLB 2K6 last night after playing the demo a little more and man, what a difference a year makes. This really looks and feels a lot like the jump from Triple Play to MVP that Brinkman was at least a part of back in the day. But so far, I can't help but really like what I'm playing with this demo, and can't wait to get my hands on the full version today!

Exactly, it isn't the greatest game of all time, but it is a fun and enjoyable game of baseball which for most of us here is our favorite sport. Hell, if I think my body would take it I would try to play for some semi-pro team to get my baseball fix.

Then release a 2k9 version that's "complete". I'm not paying to fund their "3-year plan".

I'm sure they would if it was that simple.

your loss. This game is awesome. Biggest 1 year turn around in sports gaming history.

Based on the demo, it seems to play a pretty solid game of baseball which is a big leap from last year's game. Pitching/hitting are very good, IMO, with defense being the weakest part of the game. I'm guessing that upgrading the defense will be a priority for next year. I don't think I'll regret pre-ordering the game like I did last year.

i guess we've gotten to the point where $60 only entitles us to incremental improvements over last year's game. if last year's game was unplayable, it will be a little better next year, but not "good". this is the EA method of game production.

all i have to say is thank god for the demo, if i had spent money on this i would've been pissed.

lol, this is far from the EA method. This game has improved 10 fold. Everything in the game is better than last year. Everything !

Your definition of "incremental" is a little different than mine. MLB 2K7 is obviously a major leap above last year's game. That's obvious to me from just playing the demo.
