I have a 34" HDTV, no issues, nothing cut off, nothing even close to it.

Sounds like your TV's are overscanning.

Any idea how to fix 'overscanning'?

You would have to access the service menu on your set. But you have to be careful, because you may not be able to revert to factory default settings if you mess with the wrong options.

Yep I can access the service menu - I just didn't see any option that allowed me to adjust the position of the picture.

try setting the PS3 to WIDESCREEN display, in THP8 the game looks better that way

I'm on standard too and have no issues. Could it be a possible setup issue with your system or tv?

Other people are having the same problem...

I tried setting the display options on the PS3 to 16:9 but the game still displays in the same way. There are no display options in the game itself to change.

I'm playing in 1080i and the top half of the scoreboard line is off the screen. Sucks. This is the 360 demo i'm referring to.

Does anybody know what TV or system or game settings can be fiddled with to fix this?

Has anyone tried setting display to 480p, that may help. Also my HDTV has a "screen mode" button on the remote, if I am in the "Cinema" setting, the top and bottom of the screen are zoomed in and therefore cut off like you are describing, but if I choose "Widescreen", "Full" or "Expand" it shows the whole screen. I have an Emerson 37''.

There is a secret code to get into the service menu. He isnt talking about the menu on your remote. Do a search on google for your tv set and "Discreet Codes" to acess your menu on your Television to fix the overscan!

Its usually something like 1-2-3-4 Enter-Mute or holding down 2 or 3 buttons at once during power on of the Television!

I know what the service menu is. I can access the service menu. I just don't see an option on that menu that fixes overscanning.

And again, I don't have an HDTV.
