I think the 8.5 it got from Gameinformer was spot on. The problem is that what they actually wrote in the review should have been more about the gameplay, etc itslef than just the pretty graphics.

I will say this though, at least IGN did bring up the issue of 2k's bland and clunky interface. This is something that is a problem for me across ALL of 2k's games.

What alot of people probably fail to come to terms with is while 2k baseball will get better every year, it probably will never outright surpass what would have been a next gen version of MVP and Madden probably will never outright surpass what would have been a next gen version of NFL2k. If they both had to have an exclusive deal I would have ratherd 2k had the NFL and EA had the MLB. But I will say this. I think 2k's baseball game will make more strides year after year than EA will with Madden.

I hated IGN for that. I rented that game because IGN gave it a 9.1. Needless to say, I returned it the next day.

Also remember when Jon Robinson said that NBA basketball games should do away with playbooks since no one uses them. That's why I just use IGN for previews now.

MLB 2k7 gets 8.0 on graphics and MLB the show gets 8.5 for graphics, I'm not sure how that's possible but go figure..

different systems hence different expectations........now if your talking about the PS2's 2k7....well that one got a "7.0" for graphics........which I think is generous....

I wasn't comparing games. I was just saying that every year we say "next year" (just like in real sports!). I'm sure that 2 days after 2K8 comes out, people will be posting their "2K9 wish lists"
