i love the stadiums, but more than a few have flickering lines, jaggies everywhere...i have the ps3 version...do you 360 owners see this also?

Not that I remember? Maybe in the outfield walls sometimes you can see light through the cracks where the mats are connected? Otherwise no.
I think the Stadiums, along with everything else Look and feel amazing! I freakin love this game. For me it is the best sports vid game of alltime! Hands Down

I love it that if I press select on my controller during watching a replay that damn blurry thing is gone. You really can see the Staduims better, and how great they look.

About Pac Bell Park-I need to look at that ,one of my favorites. Plus,the wind there is the 10th man on the field there! lol. I'm looking forward to taking my Dodgers and going head to head with the Giants this year. Quite possibly the best rivalry in all of sports(IMO).

Yeah this funny, it is funny how much we hate the Dodgers and you hate us! Fans are crazy, doesn't even know someone and you hate them. I have gotten into some almost fights over that crap! lol.

I think MLB 07: The Show is looking like they are producing better looking stadiums than 2K7 this year. Now I don't mean in terms of looking like its actual real life counterpart, but I think that it says "current-gen" to me a little bit more than 2K's stadiums do. Of course, I'm basing my information off of media and not actually playing either game, but I tend to do that a lot (and don't disappoint in doing so), so I feel that I can do it again here.

Now I don't mean in terms of looking like its actual real life counterpart, but I think that it says "current-gen" to me a little bit more than 2K's stadiums do. I think what I mean to say is that I can match the player on the field with the wall in right field with the fan in the upper deck with the building on Waveland Avenue. They all seem to appropriately correspond to the exact same game and all seem to be in the exact same world. No, they don't look the best, but they all are given pretty much the same texturing, resolution, and probably interact much better with the ball's physics because they are all like... programmed within the same space to... I don't really know what I'm saying. I think I mean that you won't be seeing framerate losses, lighting issues, fans reaching up for balls and the ball going through that part of the stadium, I mean... it won't make things look as out of place.

That's not saying things look better, mind you. It just means everything is given the same treatment, and that you're not having "current-gen" models with "old-gen" stadiums. Now, I'm not saying that the stadiums in 2K7 are "old-gen", but I am saying that, in comparison to the player models... they just don't match up and look to be the same game in my eyes. Maybe 2K9 will give me that feel that the models, the fans, the stadiums, and the buildings are all in the same place/world/environment, etc.

For example, make a movie and place something CGI in a real-world atmosphere. Sort of makes it look bad sometimes, doesn't it? Now, watch a movie that is a full CGI world, even if the CGI is noticeably worse than the CGI used in the movie representing real life. It doesn't seem as though we are as focused on that object looking bad anymore, and as a matter of fact looks good with the environment.


That's my rant for the day. If you want to "Wow" me again, have fun. My opinion is my own. No, I haven't played either game, but I'm not going to see a dog and think that maybe it was a cat. I'll call what I see, and I'll treat everyone else's opinion like it should be treated... respectfully. I don't even know what you meant by "Wow!" Who knows? Maybe you're so shocked that you agree with me.

Oh, and the final thing that I think SCEA did with their stadiums was that they made them more "massive". I'm given a better feel that the stadiums are massive, perhaps just by the number of rows or something, I don't know.

I don't think 2k got Busch Stadium right. Last year was incorrect, also. The left and right field stands do not extend enough past the foul poles. Also, most of the oufields look "small" to me.

If you knew me, you wouldn't even have to make that statement. You would probably have to refer to cartoon shows or something, seeing that I am very PG.

I hope that people are understanding what I mean, though. I'm not talking about the stadiums looking like their real-life counterparts.. I'm talking about the stadiums giving a feel that, along with the rest of the graphics, there isn't any contrast. Like, whatever they used to enhance the players, they did the same for the stadiums. They aren't going two different routes and trying to combine them into one... adding chocolate on a vanilla cake, etc.

If I could put it this way: The stadiums textures, skyscraper backgrounds, and fans are all to the same scale as the player models in MLB 07: The Show for PS3. The same cannot be said for MLB 2K7. I don't look at The Show's stadiums and think that it looks like something that is "old-gen", so naturally the rest of the game doesn't look "old-gen" either.



Never mind, not worth arguing. I like Red, you like Blue. Nothing to point out about my post over any other's, except that I touched up on a few grounds for my claim (which should strengthen my post, not weaken it).

Please BK for the love of god, don't get him started. Blzer, go see the game for yourself and then come back and say the ball parks are better than the Show's! lol I think the Parks look great and if you guys don't believe me go look at a replay and hit select that blurry crap wont be there and you can really see all the great little details.
