I agree, but the answer folks are going to give you is the whole 3-year development arc.

Why it now takes three years to make a working game is beyond me, but alas, that's what exclusive liscensing does these days.

As bad as 2k6 was...this much of an improvement is way more then i expected. (2k6 for me was a total mess!). If 2k6 was playable i would have gotten a bit mad at this one.

You know what, I am NOT giving this game a free pass. I'm pretty upset about some of the issues in the game. The custom stadium music not working, the franchise issues etc and I will voice those concerns whenever possible. With that said, this game is fun as all-heck, and in the end it comes down to having a fun, immersive experience. 2k7 delivers in this aspect.

Madden has a great franchise mode, really no bugs to speak of, but the game isn't fun, and it gets no playtime at all. 2k7 is just the opposite.

The reason people are giving it a "free pass" is because there is no alternative on 360 systems. Alot of people gave up on 2K6 & have waited 2 years for a decent baseball game that is playable & here it is.

it doesnt take a 3 year plan to at least fix roster/lineup issues.. i cannot believe some QC guys let that go through, not just once, but for several years on this game.. Sure the graphics are nicer, & the core gameplay seems improved. but this is just pure bunk that they let this slip through AGAIN.

The reason they got the supposed "free pass" is with the quality of ESPN 2k5 football, & their success (and sim like quality) with the NHL series the past two years.

Because unlike Madden and Live, this game has solid gameplay and the best graphics / presentation to date. I won't let the fact the CPU chooses to bat so and so player in so and so spot ruin the game for me.

p.s. and this game is improved 10x. Not just a roster update with a few new features no one uses (Like EA).

I won't disagree the game has improved... I'm actually enjoying it this year as opposed to 2k6 (ugh!). I just can't understand how something like this couldn't be corrected. You have a dedicated team to working on the Franchise portion of the game... and their job is to address current issues while implementing new ideas.

This portion of the game is what gives the title it's life and longevity. Not having it reflect somewhat accurately what goes on 90% of the time with teams and their lineups really hurts the games replay value.

Come the start of the season, does everyone just plan to play Exhibition games over and over? Hell, it's their right to do so... I just felt most members of this site were more interested in the experience a franchise would offer... but that's really hindered here...

I'll first start off by saying that I'm not much of a roster freak. I dont care what the cpu is doing as long as my team and lineups are correct. With that said, the reason why me and I'm sure plenty other people on this site haven't done much bitching at 2K is because you can clearly see the efford they put into the game. Yes, it does seem like franchise was glossed over and not given its due amount of testing but what matters most to me anyway is the gameplay. The gameplay is spot on IMO. It has its hiccups but for the most part, sliders can and will rememdy the gameplay till its close to perfection.

As for the efford they put into this game versus the efford an EA game receives, its completely night and day. All the little things like presentaion, dynamic commentary, player, bullpen and dugout celebrations, crowd animations, cut-scenes, batter rituals and walkups, the players uniforms and weight detail, day to night progression, various umpire crews, stadium detail, pitcher windups and the tons of realistic fielding animations.........only a few or hardly none of this stuff would of ever made it into a EA game in 1 years time let alone a full cycle. All these little things are what make 2K, 2K. It gives them the benefit of the doubt when you can clearly see progression made from 1 year to the next. Bugs, glitches, flaws....one of those 3 should be 2K Sports middle name. But when it comes to actually representing the sport, they stay on top of their game. For every bug or glitch you find, you can find 3 things much more positive that makes you stick with the game. NFL 2K was like this, NBA 2K is the same as well.

Have you all pretty much just decided to "bite the bullet?" Because if that's the case then some other games shouldn't have been given the harsh treatment they were... it's almost as if the little details to the in-game action have made you overlook the franchise problems... similar to 2k...

Tread carefully Pared. I made a topic almost exactly like this which was considered trolling (my comment about 2ksports curling up and dying did not go over well). That being said I am extremely upset. Being a 360 owner I am without next gen baseball. I won't purchase this game or any of the 2k sports game until all the bug reports are in (probably not then either, they have let me down too many times).

I was basically told I don't have the right to comment on a game I don't have. kind of ridiculous but true.

People love poor little 2ksports and their quest to knock off the evil EA. I feel many people here would buy a game pressed from fecal matter if it had 2ksports on it then immediately start trying to fix all the problems with it while simultaneously calling it a "masterpiece".

My advice.... spend $80 instead of $60 and walk away with God of War II and The Show for PS2. That's what I did and I have no regrets.

That's uncalled for. NBA 2k4, 2k5, and MLB 2k6 (eventually) were written off as the average to below average games by a majority of the members here, and rightfully so.

People have quickly forgotten how many members here praised MVP '05 and NBA Live '05. Hell, Inside Drive was THE game.

I appreciate a game that shows "effort" and I guess from some of the comments here I see where others are coming from with this title. To call this game "horrible" is a complete mockery of sports gaming. I'm simply expressing how one of the modes I usually spend most of my time in 2 months after the game is released is poorly developed judging by the widespread reports here. The core game is actually above average and pretty enjoyable on most occasions.

Name a game without a bug. I check out the MLB07 and their franchise is "broken". I think franchise modes are difficult to develop.

Thats why I keep checking back in this forum. I hope you are right Graphik but all signs point to these being bugs that have not been addressed for the last 2 years and nobody appears to have found a workaround in all that time.

So it is your choice you are without a nex gen baseball game. your fault.
