    Re: Dynamic Attendance?

The Braves had some of the best fans from 1991-1996 IMO (best probably being 91-93) The regular season atmosphere from a game in 1993 blows away anything they have had in the playoffs in recent years. For those of you too young to have watched those older seasons, do yourself a favor and check out how the Braves fans USED to be.

Only the last couple of years has that noticably started to slide. I live in Atlanta so I see this first hand...and did I mention I hate the Braves too?
Well, I guess that's what I mean. Only recently have we seen a decline in fan attendance, and I don't see the reason why considering the streak only grew. Was it 2003 when they had Sheffield, a great Javy Lopez, Castilla, etc? That was a great year. I think that that was of the first years of the decline as well, and they lost all of these players. Too bad.

        Re: Dynamic Attendance?

Things started to drop off for the Braves in 1997 and from that point on they have had trouble selling out playoff games. To me the move to Turner Field has become synonymous with decreased fan passion at games and attendance. To me it isn't how many fans you have ( though it does help to have a packed house) but the passion of those fans at the game. The Braves can have 50,000 fans at a game and it can be more quiet than 20k more passionate fans.

          Re: Dynamic Attendance?

It may have to do with the way they aired every game on TV (including TBS). I don't know for sure, though.

But does anybody know the answer to my other question? If marquee players can potentially draw a larger fan base?

Holy $%^!....I've been so "busy" simming games and seasons...checking lineups and trades that I didn't go and play a game at any length into the season...
DYNAMIC ATTENDANCES are an ABSOLUTE FANTASTIC addition to the game.
I tell you what....2K is on the right track for it's baseball title.

It's nice to see the graphics reflect the attendance spikes or drops. I have played games that had attendance differences, but 10k fans magically managed to fill the stadium.

Yes they can. As you acquire better players your team buzz goes up, thus leading to higher attendance. I've seen this in my franchise with the Pirates.

                  Re: Dynamic Attendance?

Hmmm well whats weird for me is that my attendance it states that there was around 40k there, but it looked more like 15k it was heavily sparse for that many people and i noticed this in many games. I dont get it.
