Climbing the wall?

I can't try to rob a homerun for the life of me....how is this possible...i press up on the right analog stick and my guy dives head first into the wall

Press UP on the right analog stick before reaching the wall, then the animation will start and you will climb the wall either to rob a homer or not.

The ICOn will come up when you are able to do it. No icon and you'll just dive into the ground.

So your saying as soon as the icon appears you can press up? even if your 10 feet away from the wall? I have yet even put a foot on the wall! I only plant my Face deep into the padding. Very frustrating, I have seen the icon and I waited until I got to the wall and then it was too late! Damnit all to hell!

Yup, press it right when you see the icon. Then they will climb the wall.

First time I tried to do it, Jermaine Dye went face first into the wall and was injured with a dislocated shoulder. Glad it was just an exhibition game I was playing but I've been scared to even try it since, lol....

i cant do this either. I press up when the icon flashes and he just dives.

i've injured two people trying to do this....i guess I'll try pressing it right when the icon comes up and see what happens, thanks.

I am using njpapi's sliders and have the in game help off. Any way to get the timing down without the icon? I have been having the same porblem.

Yeah, I keep diving into the wall also. I cannot time it right.

I was able to do it at will in last years debacle of a game........

So far this year I am simply a career ending injury, that being a severed spinal cord, waiting to happen in the outfield as I watch the ball sail over my head and then just say "F it!.........can't take it anymore.....I am diving face first into the wall!"

Makes my team look real intelligent on the replays too.

There is nothing to time. Just press up on the Rstick when it tells you to and hold it there. Your guy will start running faster and he will attempt to climb the wall.

You have to keep the dive/climb tips activated. There is no way to judge just by the flight of the ball if its a robable shot due to the fielding cam. You NEED the tips to tell you when to attempt it. Or else you will just be guessing and hospitalizing your fielder.

Im with the majority in the fact that I cant seem to jump and end up doing a nose dive into the wall. I will keep this in mind though. I dont hold it and I dont always do it right away when the icon comes up.
