Re: FatPitcher, a couple of WSB questions
Hey FatPitcher,
When we edit players into the game, like Jose Contreras for example, will the announcers say their names?
Also, I think this has been asked before but if we create a player with the last name of "Bonds" for example, will the game recognize the name and call him Bonds or will they call him by his jersey number?
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.Comment

FatPitcher, why take out the forkball though? I understand it's hard to add new pitches, but the forkball was already completed (it was also the best forkball in any game). The only problem I see in this is you'd have to change the pitch graphic from showing 9 total pitches to something else.

We'd also have to make significant additions to the player database, it would take more memory, programmers would get angry, and you wouldn't like them when they're angry. To give the standard answer: "We're looking at what we can do to improve pitch selection for next year." No, seriously. I like the pitch selection interface because you always know what pitch is where, but it is a little limited. So we're going to try out some ideas we had now that we've got time to breathe.
I'm pretty sure that the forkball had the same physics model as the splitter in last year's game. We just altered the movement and speed ratings to make them a little different.Comment

To answer your question, nope, they just call him by his jersey number.Comment
