Hey FP, I have a couple of questions for you.... I used to play WSB on genesis when they first started the series. I remember the graphics being top notch, which by the way, i think that seems to still be the case now. But i have a few questions about the batting cursor and transition from a batted ball, to either the fielding view or the baserunning view.
Is the cursor the same as in the old WSB Genesis days, meaning is it a long bar with the sweetspot marked on it for individual power attributes, and if so, are these adjustable with the game options sliders...???????
And is the transition for the batted ball smooth, without having a different angle all the time?????
the reason i ask, is i remember playing some game on PS1 that had this alternate camera angle depending on if it was a left handed batter or a right handed batter, but i can't recall the name right now.... Also, I'm glad you guys realized to put this years version on PS2, since it is still the best overall console on the market... It was a real shame it wasnt on there last year, I would have really considered buying it. But I think so far im pointing towards this years version of WSB over all the others, because of guys like you coming into these forums on a daily basis to answer questions about this particular game.... Thnx for the work man...

The cursor looks different. If you hunt around, you should be able to find a screenshot or movie somewhere that shows it.
The transition from batting view to fielding view seems smooth to me. Again, that's probably something you can see by looking at gameplay movies.Comment

Hey Fatpitcher a few more quick questions.
1)Are there specific crowd chants for specific teams? For example the "Lets Go Mets!" chant at Shea Stadium.
2)Do players like Carl Everett and Mo Vaughn lean over the plate?
3)Before you said there was between 100-150 batting stances in the game. I am assuming a majority of star players have their batting stances in the game. Could you tell us more about the specific batting stances?
4)Does Minute Maid Park in Houston have a hill and a flag pole in centerfield?
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
1) I really don't know, I usually play with audio off to avoid annoying people around me.
2) Not really over the plate, it's the same as last year, so maybe someone else who played it can describe it better.
3) Mostly the same as last year, don't know what else to say about 'em
4) yesComment

Hey Fp, I was wondering if that way you edit ratings on WSB2k3 is like NBA2k3 or something like Madden 2003 where it is much more convienent. Also could you get a picture of Mo Vaughn for us because he is a good example to show us how much player scaling does or doesn't effect the game?
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
I'm not familiar with Madden's player editing, but I know it's similar to NFL2K3's setup, where you can edit ratings and rosters at once.Comment

Because I only had a PS2 last year, I didn't get to play WSB. I had ASB. So I was wondering, since both games are cursor batting, are they pretty much comparable when it comes to the pitcher/batter interface? If they are not, what are the differences? Thanks FP, your great for doing this...
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
The differences with this year's WSB and LAST year's ASB (haven't seen this year's) batting interfaces are:
Batting cursor moves faster in WSB
You have one button for power and one for contact in WSB; you decide before the pitch in ASB which one to use

I asked before if you could pick what uniform your opponent wears in franchise mode and you said yes but then you said that you couln't change the stadium so are you sure you meant franchise mode when you said I could pick which uniform my opponent wears?

Yes, you'll see it in the news in the offseason, and there's a special screen you can look at during the regular season that shows the names of all the players inducted (and % of the votes gotten) since you started.Comment
