Hey Fatpitcher thanks a lot for answering so many questions. I have a question concerning EGM's review of WSB2K3. I didn't get to read it but I read on another forum where they criticized the fielder A.I. Do you feel the fielder A.I. is solid? Have their been improvements made since last year, thanks.

I don't see problems with the fielder A.I., but I have the occasional problem with the wrong fielder being auto-selected, as I mentioned earlier.

4, and the one in the movies is the 2nd-lowest. The highest is around 93% of real life, which should be plenty.

I wonder what positions the 3 fictional players are? If 1 of is a SS I will rename jose lopez, if 1 is a OF I will rename Choo, and if 1 of a pitcher I will rename Gil Meche.

Choo is making a huge impression in spring training BTW. I think he is M's next CF.

I would like to know what happens to the players that retire at the end of each season in franchise. In last year's franchise, I drafted Randy Johnson as a rookie with a different name. He had the same face, pitch selection, and motion. I looked at the other teams and discovered that the Cub's new stud first base prospect was really Edgar Martinez with a different name. I don't know about anyone else here, but this didn't feel right. I want to feel like I am developing the player. It wasn't fun when you already knew what type of player they would turn out to be.

                        P. S.
I'm glad the roster reset problem was fixed.

If this game had a legit minor leagues and player development, I wouldn't even be thinking about buying another game this year.

                        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

We still keep the face and position (to make sure we don't have too many "generic" players, and to make sure we don't wind up with too many or too few of a certain position). Everything else about the player--ratings, pitch selection, development, potential, etc. is generated from scratch. So the 1B who looks like Edgar Martinez may end up as a scrub who never makes it out of the minors. The guy who looks like Randy Johnson may be a right-handed knuckleball specialist. And so on.

We also have a ton more names that generated players can have.

You can't create custom teams, per se. You must maintain the standard 30-team league structure and you can't edit team names, mascots, or uniform selection. So you couldn't do things like play the '25 Yankees vs. the '85 Yankees.

Also, you can only create 25 players, so if you want more than one full team's worth, you'll have to find players to edit (and there are plenty of fictional guys).
