    KushGamer,

Not sure if you can answer this, will 2k8 utilize more of PS3's hardware? since you have had more time to work with the system.

Awkward? Fielding was atrocious last year.

I had many doubts selling my PS3 because of The Show, but I'm very much looking forward to 2K8. Especially after re-reading the article. Gameplay should unanimously be their number one goal, before minor leaguers and whatnot. If the game isn't fun to play after five games, I don't care if they have the complete single "A" roster for the Cardinals. Further, making the essentials..batting, pitching, and fielding as smooth as possible. And better camera angles should be at the top of the list!

I sure hope the PS3 version will at least be on the same level graphically as the 360 version this time around.

I'm not sure if Kushgamer is going to answer much past that initial post.
But it would be great if early next yr someone from TakeTwo would start an official Q&A thread here on OS.

I hear you on that... MLB 2K7 was so fun to play for the first week or so, then just got boring... I think it is because of the same camera angle every game, and just noticing all of the annoying problems. Agreed that minor leagues shouldn't be at the top of the priority list, especially when they don't even have real names unless they've been in the majors before. I would focus on swinging animations, pitching animations, and fielding animations....and so on and so on.....

Not a big issue by any means but for some reason the Phillies Home and Road Unis both had the Phillies script across the chest underlined when it should not be. Coming from someone that watches almost every Phillies game, it becomes noticeable when you play the game. It just looked weird.

Thanks for the update Kush! I've been dying for any sort of info I can get on 2K8. I play 2K7 every single day still (all offline) and still am having a blast with it. Can't wait to see the improvements made!

I'll leave it to marketing and Ben to release information. But, some info on game production: The dev cycle is over. We are fixing bugs now. Any "early" input is back in Spring. It is what it is at this point, and I for one think it is a marked improvement from 2K7. But, of course, I am biased. So I will leave it up to you guys to decide and I'll just have to wait till March to see what you think.

It is, in fact, year 2 of the 3-year plan, and I think we are set up to accomplish what we wanted to. We ALWAYS want to do more, but there is only so much time.

The link in gobucks update gives a good idea of where we are headed.
You guys do an awesome job. The best bug testing will be to read the bugs and glitches forum here, I think we nail everything...sometimes a little too nitpicky, lol.

My 360 croaked so I can't check it out at the moment, but, I'm 99.9% sure they fixed this with one of their updates.

Strange bc they did fix it, then when you downloaded the newest rosters it went right back. Some games it is correct others it is not.

But to heck with that, i am starving for any info on this games next offering. I mean i just want to know what they are doing. I love 2K7 post patch so i know it will be better, but how much better is what we all want to know. I am on this site everyday (at work) and i keep hoping for a little something. Then i remember tht it is only October and i need to calm down. lol.

Wow, Kush actually got back to us! Awesome!

So this is crazy---the development cycle is done! I hope they packed alot into the game. It definitely needs a fresh coat of paint---like new and intuitive menus for instance.

Can't wait to see what comes up in the months to come.

I'm hoping minor leagues down to low A ball will be included in franchise but I'm sure that IF that gets implemented in 2k baseball it likely won't be until 2k9.

that's OK, I really liked 2k7 and I'm sure that unless they royally screw up 2k8 I'll like it a lot as well.

I'd like that to be in as well but that is very far down the list, IMO. Get the majors right before you worry about minor leagues.

I agree with ehh. Get the gameplay right before you even think about adding playable minor leagues. All that will allow me to do is hit a cutter in on my fists for a 455 ft. opposite field homer with my backup 2B on the Altoona Curve (Pirates AA affiliate, right?).

To sit here and ask for playable AA and single A teams and have them not fix the hitting, pitching and fielding is crazy. I thought this was OS and we, as a community, want gameplay realism first and foremost. 2k's downright child-like hitting engine needs to go. Who can possibly say that hitting and pitching in this game is remotely difficult?

Fix the gameplay mechanics first, please. Look at MLB Power Pros, Pro Yakyuu Spirits, and the granddaddy of them all, MVP 2005, for ideas. Us 360 owners only have one choice for baseball. Please, don't screw the pooch and force me to pick up a PS3 just for baseball. You can do it Kush with Ben at the helm.
