I would't hold your breath. As much as I enjoy 2K games, they never really have gotten on board with this whole "Marketing" thing. Even their website is usually slow to provide info on upcoming games.

eh my take is I'd love new info, but right now I'm so busy playing CoD 4, Halo 3, Orange Box, FIFA, and I still pop in Gears, Forza and APF from time to time so I'm OK right now.

I only play sports games so I am always looking forward to the next sports games that are coming out. I am trying to decide wether to purchase a PS3 so I can play the Show or stick with my 360 and MLB 2K8. Right now I am leaning towards The Show because I have no idea how good MLB 2K8 is going to be.

have you played the Show before? If you only play sports games, I would recommend going ps3 because the Show is incredible. For me, I had to compromise because I also love shooters (and it doesn't hurt that I've always been a mlb2k fanboy) but the Show is clearly the better of the two.

Yes I still have a PS2 and 2 years ago I played a whole season of the Show.
It is sad when you have a 360 and have to play PS2 games!!

To be fair, I remember last year that some folks were in a state of panic over the lack of stuff for the PS3 version of the Show, some even going so far as to say it wouldn't be released. I would say everything turned out okay...bottom line is these smaller companies aren't going to hype like an EA does. They just don't have the money for marketing. I'd much rather have a game that comes out with little to no hype that plays great than something that is hyped like crazy only to disappoint.

I like 2K and have a bunch of their games. But I have rarely been impressed with their marketing efforts. Remember the game covers of all the 2K4 games? Maybe the 2K diehards liked them, but I can't see them gaining any new market share because people could see a closeup of Jason Giambi's steroid whiskers. And those Tracy Morgan commercials were somewhat funny, but I don't see how that would inspire those not familiar with the games to get them.

APF had a series of commercials that were posted on thier website. They did not release the majoity of them until after the game was released.

Yeah you are right. It took forever for the SCEA to release anything for the Show on the PS3 last year. And the game was great. Im with you though. I just want a game with little or no hype that plays a great game of baseball..Just like the Show did last year.

Take Two just does not have the money to market games the way they need to be. Its just that simple. The only Take Two game thats going to get alot of Marketing is Grand Theft Auto IV.

Again, 2k just doesnt sell well enough because companies like EA sports with all the money in the world force their products on customers through marketing. Its a real shame too. 2k makes way better games then their competition.

Bioshock did really well becuase websites/magazines pimped the heck out of the game. Rightfully deserved.

Probably wont see much. 2k sucks at marketing thats why they dont sell as much as they always anticipate. I am not a SCEA fan BUT they did release 2 videos and tons of screenshots that make me want it more and more. Wish 2k would show some love.

Ive heard rumor from a guy that is related to one of the team members on 2k over on the 2ksports.com forums that the game is done but they are holding off releasing anything too soon so that sony doesnt steal anything from them or something to that affect... talk about being scared of the compitition lol
