I don't understand how a company that is terrible at marketing year in and year out continually remains terrible at marketing year in and year out. Do they know they suck at it? I mean, it's downright dreadful. Even when they do release trailers, they are always piss-poor compared to the fan made trailers we see on these forums.

I just don't understand it. Maybe there's something about marketing that's tougher than we know, but I fail to see what that is. Do they know their competition is gaining more customer interest? The Show is looking very, very promising this year, and they have yet to release any media for this game. Not even a simple teaser trailer. I thought releasing the cover meant we were going to see a lot, but perhaps we will have to wait.

Maybe they are on their "winter break" though, like IGN, Gamespot, etc. Maybe when all come back, we will start getting hit heavy with information, screenshots, footage, etc. Maybe they think they're smart, but I think the earlier, the better.

I really think we'll see the first set of screenshots by the end of this week.

screens will be meh...2k7 was beautiful enough

fix that gameplay/frame-rate/animations

Or maybe no media releases is a precursor to this game sucking...Or you could spin it the other way and say that since the last two installments sucked maybe they aren't releasing any media to focus on working on the game.

Who knows???

So does anyone know how long these sites/companies "winter breaks" last? (ex. like you said, ign, gamespot, etc.)

I mean i don't know how long 2k is waiting for or what they're waiting for... the excitement for the Show seems to be building more and more and for us 360 users there's no option... now that the show has a gigantic feature list, screens, and now a first video i definitely think its time for 2k to give us something..... anything!

Wouldn't be surprised if we see info next week coming out of CES. Take-2 was there last year showing off MLB 2K & probably will use that forum for it's 1st info to the community..

Maybe 2K is using Sony's approach from last yr by not releasing anything till a few weeks before shipping. If that's the case then lets just hope they don't delay their game like Sony did.
Seriously though, we should see some screens hitting sites by Friday or early next week. But who knows when they'll get that first video or trailer released.

i have to say the show looks very impressive, eager to see what 2k has up their sleeve. but my 360 just died for the 5th time so i think i will just sell the games and get the ps3, enough is le enough

why does 2k always do this to us
