You were just saying they don't need to improve the graphics, but there are certain aspects where they do need to improve: framerate and animations. Sounds like both will be improved.

For the sake of argument we've always talked about the graphic being how the player model appears (motionless), like when you look at a photo. The animations put the graphic into motion.

Now if we have to discuss (technically) what a graphic is, as the old song goes, "...I'll be seeing you...."

Okay, sure then. Again, there can still be lighting improvements. Not on the player models themselves, but in the sky. I hate that red look it has sometimes, especially at night. I hope they work on those transitions, though they are for the most part stunningly beautiful!

But yeah, not much to work on then. I mean, they can, but if opportunity cost is a factor, I would rather they invest time on a weakness in this game.

While I agree that 2K7 had better graphics than The Show 07, I wouldnt say The Show 07 had "PS2" graphics. I think The Show had much better graphics than any PS2 game. Graphics can definetly get better, which I think it will.

well if your a realist like u say then u know they won't suck. A realist would have never posted this. With that said they are both going to be great. My $ goes with 2k8

I have a few of my boys who are gamers including my best friend who says the show is boring. So it goes both ways. People have different preferences.

i agree with all except the Mike Lowell vs. Ichiro shots... that Mike Lowell shot is just (in my eyes) one of the most real-to-life pictures I've ever seen in a video game

ps. agree with the umpire.. didnt really notice it until someone said something but it does just look off

Imo, the 1st thing 2k HAS to get right are their Field dimensions. as of last year...well... since the series...they STILL need to get the dimensions down...(see The Show) also, either the playing surface is too hard or the ball bounces way too high( this could be a static issue too...i don't know which...but Brinkman really needs to address these issues...and that ain't even including gameplay...before this series can even touch The Show.

I do hope 2K can get this right so we'll have 2 GREAT games to play.

The dimensions are correct. Hell, The Show may have incorrect dimensions just to make the field appear bigger, but 2K has correct dimensions. It's been and always has been the ground's force and friction, along with other lurking variables such as lack of air drag to slow the ball down at all during a throw or hit.
