Will 2K do anything to the PS2 version?

I'm stuck with my Ps2 until at least September. Has anyone heard if 2K will put any effort into the PS2 version or is it going to be a remake of 07. I don't understand why 2K and others put no effort into the PS2 according to a recent poll 46% of all gaming is still done on the old dog PS2. If you fix the PS2 version people will remeber your game when they upgrade and buy your product for the next gen.

I really doubt they will do anything besides update jerseys and rosters, but they could suprise us, but I doubt it.

To be honest since you have a PS2 you might be better off getting The Show for 08 but it probably wont be much more than a roster update with some bug fixes as well. I didnt play 2k6 but I played 2k7 for the PS2 and it didnt feel much different than 2k5 to me, so I dont think 2k8 will be much of an upgrade at all.

Does anybody know for sure if they are even going to make 2k8 for old gen?

If you have a PS2, I would get MLB 08: The Show.

        Yale Bulldogs (NCAA Football 07)

The ONLY real differences between the PS2 and the next-gen consoles is graphics. Actual game development is the same, even if there are more sliders on the next-gen consoles. From what I've seen (and heard) is that the next-gen consoles just LOOK better, they don't really play any differently. Anything thinking otherwise is just ignorant to how development and porting of a game works.
