It's a crime Hanley Ramirez is not rated higher. He's the best shortstop in baseball (at least offensivley) And you can argue that last season he was at least a top 10 player in the league. If not a top 5.

If he wasn't on the Marlins, he would of been MVP.

            I wouldn't go thaaaat far.

I have to admit though. If AJ Burnett stays healthy.. (has a snowball survived hell yet?) then I love their front three. Doc is Doc, and McGowan is NICE.

I agree. Surprise, surprise, the two NY shortstops are ranked #1 and #2. And has no one noticed that Tejada's power has been on a pretty steady decline for the last three seasons? Boo to these rankings.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
                Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

Freddy Sanchez - 3B. Too bad he played the entire season last year as a 2B and will do the same this year. Not a big deal as it can be edited, but it's these small attentions to detail that annoy me.

Unless this overall ranking takes into account defense, too, Wright being ahead of Cabrera is asinine.

Wow I can't believe how horrible some of these ratings are.... Well hopefully the gameplay will be better than what they did with the ratings

i can only really speak on behalf of the royals players but heres a few things:

                          at 3B: #14. Mark Teahen: 82
ratings fine.. but he didnt play 3B at all last year and won't this year, he was one of the AL league leading RF's in alot of categories

                          in RF: no Jose Guillen?
i mean i'm not saying the guy is a super stud or anything.. but he's in the top 20 for a given corner (assumin he's listed in RF)

Ratings seem ok to me. Was curious to see what they were going to rate Joba Chamberlain.

with all do respect to everyone who makes a big deal about ratings, how can you be upset or happy for that matter about any of the ratings given to a player, when you have NO IDEA as to what it is that they are taking in as a factor for the ratings. Let me explain, or actually let me ask: do you know how many factors were taken in order to give out a rating? do you know if fielding has a higher value then hitting? how many categories are taken into consideration, is it only fielding, hitting and pitching? or did they take all five to six tools into consideration when giving this ratings (power, average, fielding, throwing, running, speed) yes there is a difference between a fast runner and a smart runner. i guess my point is you don't know which factor are taken when giving a player a rating, and you don't know which one of these factor are given more or less importance over the other? so to conclude stop complaining about all of the thing you know nothing about and wait for the game to come out and then i am sure you be able to give a much better analysis about the game.
