They'd be right, but this discussion has nothing to do with SCEA's game. It's a 2K forum, so please keep on topic.

Thanks to all that helped with the Baltimore Orioles roster, and to N51_rob for making me an OS premium member.

Re: Ben Brinkman is about to answer some real questions

      Kush,

Would it be possible to elaborate a bit on how 2k8 was developed or designed. I guess what I'm asking is if you could take a few minutes and explain to everyone about the dev cycle from a-z.
I think this would allow everyone to realize why something makes it into the game and why something else doesn't. Who decides this kind of stuff? Who is the main man if a game is good or bad that takes the heat or gets the glory?

I could see it being very frustrating when something doesn't get put into the game that you really want or know it needs to be there. Would you say that in order to make 2k baseball the ultimate baseball game that 2k needs a bigger team, smarter team or combo of both?

      Thank you sir,

      Blitzburgh

I have another question for you Kush, when you have time...

My question is, is 2K offering the Cooperstown Collection in their 2K8 game?

I hope we get to play with the likes of players like Mickey Mantle in Franchise...

        thank you..

Yes, the Cooperstown Collection is still in 2K8 and they've added a bunch of new players to it.

Unfortunately, Mickey is not part of the Cooperstown Collection. 2K made a separate, individual deal with the Mantles that was also related to the deal with Topps for 2K7. No such deal for 2K8.

I'm gonna go eat some dinner. Maybe I'll come back on a little later.

It is great news Spectre, but I'm going to be a little disappointed if the
legends are only offered in exhibition mode again!

              Kush,
I hope you have a great meal, when your finished if you find the time,
I would really appreciate it if you could tell us if the Cooperstown Legends
will be offered in "Franchise" mode this year? I would love to be able to
play with them the whole season...

              Thanks again...

                KUSH,

I was wondering will we be able to create faces in the CAP, or will it be a couple of pre-made faces again?
                Thanks

KG i know we've been over this before but you said you can set the batting order and pitching rotations for all teams before there games, ok if you set there openig day lineup and such will it stay that way for the season or til i change it? or can just do it for one game and then computer ai goes and puts M.Holiday back into the lead off spot and has JJ Putz starting games? Does thast make sence what i'm trying to say?

Kush, what about calling pitchers in from the bullpen when we do a mound visit? If this could be done in 2k7 I havent figured out how to do it.

A few people mentioned they felt the step timing may play too big a role.

But there are sliders for basically everything and Blue Castle did a great job of cleaning the sliders up and making sure they all work really well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I suggest playing about 10 solid games on All Star difficulty and then adjusting sliders from there.
thanx for the honest answer kush and I apologize if I put you on the spot in any way.

No 3rd-person "behind the back" cam. We added a more aerial camera option this year.
This really grew on me. I liked the fact it seemed harder to hit against the pitcher if you were the same "hand"

You're very defensive when it comes to this game. I'll not ask again, please try to keep on topic. Many of us have been burned on this game before, and the thread is intended to provide potential buyers with information regarding the release of 2K8. Talking about other games isn't going to help anyone do that, nor is playing the over-defensive consumer in love with a product or games producer.

You're the one that came in and started talking about how Brinkman will only talk up his game like he does every year.

I responded by asking if SCEA woulldn't do the same and now you turn this into me being over-defensive?

Every thing I've said in "defense" of this game has been in relation to baseball video gaming and why I believe a certain feature or aspect is either realistic or can work if done right. I have no blind faith to 2k8. I simply know that it'll be a good game.

You can check The Show forums and find all the nice things I've said about their product too.

Again, you're the one that decided to get on a soap box and talk nonsense about a producer of the game that's obvoiusly going to talk positive about his product. Don't try to play me for a little kid that's going to shy away from a bad comment.
