Yeah, I'm getting pumped. I liked a lot of what I heard in Brinkman's latest interview.

BTW, I'll also throw in some props for NHL 08, too. Best sports game of the year.

I think he can. Hopefully, we're near the middle when he returns. Him, along with Mulder's return and hopefully a Rasmus call-up energize the birds on the bat for another WS run. but that's the best-case scenario. doesn't always work out that way.

With the new baseball season fast approaching, and all the innovative aspects of the new 2k8 game is hard not to be excited about the game. just a few more weeks to go, cant hardly wait.

I can't wait to play this on Ps3 at 60 fps!

last year was pretty bad but knowing that it's fixed and runs smooth has me excited to have it for the ps3 instead of the 360

Truthfully? I haven't been excited about a new 2K game release since NFL 2K5. Check that: I was excited about MLB 2K5, but we all know how that game turned out. I don't play their NBA series, so I can't comment on particular game. But apart from that, IMO 2K hasn't put out a decent sports game in three years. I've rented MLB 2K6 and 2K7, and NHL 2K7 and 2K8. All duds. APF certainly got me interested for a short time... until it was revealed they wouldn't have any editing options in the game.

MLB 2K8 looks like it has some nice and possibly innovative features. But going on what they've put out in the past, chances are it's just more window dressing, and that the core gameplay will still be broken. But we'll see. Not excited in other words: hopeful but not expecting a lot.

Oh yeah I am pumped too. I have been playing 2k7 for 3 weeks now and love it especially with those sliders. I know this, the time has been flying by. When I finish this second 20 game season then 2k8 will be here.

Re: So who else is getting excited?

I was excited when it was confirmed that we can change the CPU lineup during franchise games but after hearing Brinkman say that he doesn't want to work the count and after seeing screenshots of players with big heads, I am starting to worry about the direction of this game. I hope for 2K's sake going the Madden route to please the masses works for them because I do like 2K sports as a whole and they could use the money to stay afloat. They have put out some really bad games (MLB 2K6) but they have also put out some all time classic games (NFL2K5) and I do feel that they really try to improve their games by taking chances.

At the end of the day, I will wind up picking buying this game but it may not be on day 1.

Man I just want this winter to end already. The time that follows the end of the super bowl is always the strangest and most dull time in sports for me. The only thing on TV, college basketball games that I can care less about, every channel college basketball **puke**

Lately I have been getting all excited from just seeing clips of pitchers stretching & taking fielding practice... It's almost here! I can't wait.

Oh yeah, I really want to play 2K8 too. Heh.

I'm pretty pumped about this game. The pitching is gonna be fun to learn. Unfortunately, I have to sit here and hope that I get my system back (3 red lights) before MLB 2k8 is released. I can't even get a fix with MLB 2k7. This truely sucks.

Not exactly excited but cauciously optimistic.

I'm really excited about all the innovations. The pitching, revamped hitting and baserunning and the challenging throwing that have been introduced. As long as some of the old stuff doesn't rear its ugly head, this should be the best iteration of 2k baseball on next gen. That being said, I'm not excited about the presentation for this year, maybe 2k9 will fulfill that wish.
