That being said, I'm not excited about the presentation for this year, maybe 2k9 will fulfill that wish.
I'll probably be playing all the games with the commentary turned off.

I'm pretty pumped. I really hope that franchise mode is good, I love building my farm system up and playing on the field with my guys. The new progression slider better be good. I'll be testing that the first week it comes out, after I play a couple of exhibition games.

I am so pumped, I wish it was coming out next week, I am just mentally managing how I am going to set up my team in a franchise and what not, I liked last year, but I am loving the possibilities in this version, and being able to control the CPU ******** logic sometimes is going to make this game a million times better!

Just add me to the people here that can;'t wait for this game.
One question though: What about the people that still want to throw to the bases like last year with the face buttons? I don't want to use the stick to throw to different bases. I don't want a meter either that tells me how long I need to hold buton before I release it. That stuff should be done by feel. You know if you need to wing it or you have time to soft toss it. Just a few things I haven't heard anything about yet.

You still have to have know when you should hurry a throw or when you can lob it. This year, it actually gives you the flexibility to do so.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
            Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?
