Heads Up: OS Sitting in on Ben Brinkman Conference Call

So this thread was started http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...d.php?t=238780 but now this is a notice that TJ Cutini (TJdaSportsGuy) and myself will also be in the call which begins at 5 PM EST. Now Brinkman will mostly be answering questions that were submitted beforehand, but there will be some time for new questions.

With that in mind you guys can post your questions here and either myself or TJ will try to ask as many as we can -- assuming they haven't been asked and we think they are better than ones we ourselves have come up with.

Also barring any unforeseen circumstances I will be providing a live blog here on the forums in some way -- I just need TJ or someone to hook me up with a sticky at the top of the forums so it can be the spot I continually post in. Ideally the thread would be locked so myself or TJ could post in it, and then in another thread people can comment on it...Or does that just make sense to me? Maybe I'll just keep updating the original post and so then we only need to have one thread? Would that make more sense?

We apologize for not telling you guys sooner, but unfortunately with the whole convergence going on between staff and everything we just recently (read: this week) got up and running. However, really look for us to push and expand everything that goes on at both sites now.

Slizeezyc, If you are able to do a live blog (or update). Do you know what time the conference call is going to start? Or more importantly, when you are going to start your blog? I just want to be able to get to a computer and also not go nuts trying to check OS every available chance I get. I'm a west coast guy so time zone would also be helpful.

i would like to know if aiming the swing is out of 2K and if so will it ever come back as an option


Will they ever have a mode similar to RTTS



Do they have sig swings in 2k8

What is going to be the main area of improvement in 2k9

Would hardcore sim gamers enjoy 2k8 or the Show

Would hardcore sim gamers enjoy 2k8 or 2k9

Have they fixed they AI lineup bug

Can user have control over all teams in franchise, that way we can make trades that reflect whats happening in real life

1. For online play, can a person change his batting camera preference?
2. For online play, will there be any new things added other than the strikes only lobby?
3. Is the check swing any easier this year?
4. Will the game run at 60fps?
5. Are the sounds of the bat hitting the ball improved?
6. How close is this game in comparison to MVP 2005?

I know this has been beaten to death but why can't the ball hitting the bat actually sound like the real thing? The trailer had it and look how crazy & excited everyone got about it. It's always the little things that make people really love a game.

1). Why does this game still seem to suffer from frame rate issues and every other sports game I own does not? Is it poor programming?

2). Does this games run at 60fps- 99% of the time? If not, why? My guess is not and that it really has way to much old crappy code still through out the game.

1. In franchise does the CPU still mess up their teams lineup (i.e. David Ortiz batting 1st or something stupid like that?)

2. On the harder difficulty will the CPU throw more balls?

Could you ask him if the user has the ability to turn the Homerun Camera off, and if fans will still reach for homeruns and foul balls...it appears they do not in the videos.
