Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
I'm not knocking it, but I've always had a hard time understanding why people would want to keep rosters current during their franchise. ML teams are making moves that make sense for their team. What if they make a move that would make absolutley no sense for their team in your franchise? What if, for example (I hope like hell this doesn't happen, just the best example I can think of) the Indians were to fall out of the playoff race and traded C.C. Sabathia. But in your franchise, they have the best record in the league and are serious WS contenders. And if the team you are controlling is chasing them, it gives you an unfair advantage.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
I agree with the above post...
To each his own, but I play my franchise season's as their own, stand-alone worlds. I like accurate opening day rosters, but after that, the real world stops.
If the Sox pull off a trade in real life I don't like, or wouldn't make sense in my franchise, I won't make it.Comment

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
Per the impressions thread:
Guys, I went back and double checked on the lineups. As mentioned, you won't be able to set lineups and pitching rotations for CPU teams in franchise mode. However, you will be able to change their lineup and select their starting pitcher from the pregame setup screen.Comment

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
Probably for the same reason guys can't understand how a player can load up on stars, trade to get players like AROD on their team, etc.
I'm just a guy, like many, who likes accurate rosters. I don't like to be playing my Nats season (I only play a season) and then find out that Pujols is no longer in the NL, AROD is on the Cubs, that kinda thing. To each his own.And again, this game had a beautifully function full roster control at one time. I think 3 seasons ago?
Just ruins the feel of the game for me. Can't do it.Comment

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
Yes, I tired FORCED TRADES last year using my team as a go-between. But that REALLY screwed everything up. Let's say I did the Rolen for Glaus thru my Nats team. Rolen might wind up in AAA and Glaus batting 8th. There was no rhyme, nor reason. Now if I can find out that it's handled better, maybe, but I'll have to wait and see.Comment

Re: Did they fix the lineup problem?
No, discussing the lineup problem thread. I did the rosters for this game two years ago, did the roster for this game three years ago. Have a lot of time vested in the game. Does it tick me off a bit that it was in the game in the dev cycle, per Kushgamer, just a bit. His concern was QA. Guess it didn't make QA.Comment
