Any conspiracy theories about Sony not wanting to put the 2K demo up because of The Show is untrue. With Licensing royalties, Sony is pulling for 2K8 to sell on the PS3 just as well as The Show.

XBL is updated with new features every few months. There's usually a Spring Update and Fall update.

Demo's, videos, TV Shows, Movies, Gamerpics, Themes, Arcade games, ect. are added every day. There is no set date that they add demo's (like the PSN every Thursday). XBL is adding things all the time.

But the demo a day before the full game comes out is completely pointless. I guess it could be like "renting" the game for free, but you only get 3 innings with two teams and it's not even completely done yet. A demo should be out a full week before the retail version is out.

i agree with your theory, so that would mean that the demo would have to be out today....hmm well they still have 3 more hours here on the east coast to make that dream come true haha

Lets look at some scary dynamics here at work:

-Sony makes The Show

-MLB 2K8 is a direct competitor to The Show

-Sony would make money on sales of both games but considerably MORE on the Show

-Sony would probably benefit/profit MORE if they released the MLB2K8 demo AFTER the actual full release of The Show to sell more copies of the Show

-Could this demo delay on the PS3 side be tied directly to 360 delay due to certain restrictions set forth by 2K Sports?

What would all this equate to?.....The actual demo of 2K8 released simualtaneously on both systems the day right before the actual retail release of 2K8? The retail release of the Show earlier than 2K8?

It is, but it's been done many times. Often times Demos come out after the actual game... makes no sense.
