right. But people criticize 2k for lack of presentation and praise the show. I am just saying there were things missing from mvp that people seem to overlook.

Just to be clear when I made the post concerning PGA 2000, that was just an example of how EA buying up it's competitors worked out. As a whole, I totally agree with you. When a company like EA is the only choice, then we as gamers always get the shaft. It's abnormal when something like NHL or FIFA 08 comes out from EA, and even those titles need polish.

It's just my hope that *if* 2K succumbs to EA, that EA has the brains to not demolish the great stuff 2K has built in favor of just eliminating competition. Hopefully they will take those great engines already present in NBA, CHoops and APF and use them in their products.

In keeping this post on track with this forum, it's hard to forget how good MVP05 was. I certainly wouldn't mind EA using the license (and the 2k baseball talent) to reignite that great title again on a next-gen system.

It's not at all about EA having brains. They obviously are intelligent or they wouldn't have the corner on nearly every sports game market AND continue to rake in gozillions of dollars everywhere with overpriced roster upgrades. They clearly know what they are doing. Their focus isn't going to be on how they can best mesh both products. It's going to be centered around how they can further dominate the sports market arena, with as little work as possible. EA is cut-throat and all business, they don't serve the consumers and never have.

My biggest worry about it is not having online leagues anymore. I would no longer crave baseball if this was the case.

But Most of the people who worked on the MVP Baseball games are long gone. SO even if they wanted to bring back MVP they would hafta start fresh and I dunno how well that would be in the short time frame they would have
