That's how NHL 2K8 did it. They had certain events and situations you could add your own music to.

This is from the Beta though right? It is possible it got taken out. If I was a betting man I'd say it's still in, but I'm gonna keep my expectations tempered.

After reading, hearing, and seeing countless interviews from
Brinkman, why would he never mention this?

It's not going to sell a 100,000 more copies but it is a nice new feature, if it is actually in there. Until someone with a retail copy can confirm its in and that we can use our own music I'll err on the side of caution.

i really do hope this is in the game!! Im going to make sure I find a siren to play after a homerun at the jake!! Dont forget about zombie nation when there is a braves homerun hit!! thats the best homerun song in baseball in my opinion!!!

OK, figured it out. Yes, you can use custom music for all that stuff. You just have to be good w/ the importing of the music. I don't think I would have the patience for it. But yes, it definitely looks like it can be done. I ripped a track off one of my CD's, put it to David Ortiz walk up and I heard it in the background.

He ended up figuring it out.

Hopefully this makes it to retail!!!!!

I have music editing software, so if we can indeed import our own music/sounds into the game, I'm going to clip some stuff like "smooth criminal" for stolen bases, and "you dropped the bomb on me" for homeruns.

If it lets you i will definitely add "the natural" theme that texas plays after a homerun.

it would be cool if you could get it to play specific tracks when the opposing team has a pitching change or the home team rallies or something... adding all that would really help the atmosphere, though i would only do it for my team.. but yeah i doubt you can do that much detail.

im not doing official songs for the players im just doing thing that are relevant to their actions and like for A-rod , im doing money in da bank or here come alex of guitar hero 3 and for papi im doin : I like it when you call me big papa .....etc some will be real only for players i like ... LISTEN WHITESOX FANS they have stadium specific beat to like situationals and all you can do "He's Gone " at white sox field after a home team SO

Well after Steve got it to work, my expectations have gone way up. I can't see why they would take this out of the retail, but then again why didn't Brinkman ever mention this?

Wow, I'm amazed Ben brinkman didn't say a word about this. It's not even listed as one of the features. Maybe it was a last minute thing and they weren't sure if it would make if before the final cut, so they just kept their mouth shut not wanting to Hype it up.

I was set on getting the show but 2k8 has really got me intrigued. I love the inovative controls and now custom in game music. I have a lot of sports music from my days of adding ditties to the NBA Live PC series.

I'd be more than willing to share music that I have which I cut and edited myself to sound like it would in a stadium. How can we share our custom sounds?

Is anyone other than me getting 2K8 for the ps3?
