In the field some players actually run like their real life counterpart. Like Manny for example, he kind of does his lazy *** jog to the ball even when I have him going as fast as I can.

The airplanes and helicopters (three or four times per game) you hear is a very nice touch for the otherwise-dull presentation. They sound almost perfect and make it feel like summer.I am become death

Re: **The little things thread**
They have Giambi's "Oh crap I have to sprint because I just hit a ball to the gap" animation right out of the batter's box down pat.
My boy was playing w. the Dodgers against the CPU and he had Furcal on first. He tried to bunt w. Pierre but missed. The CPU then threw two pick offs, a pitch out and then another pick off.
Someone hit a ball to right-center field against me and Abreu couldn't quite to get to it but he stuck his arm out while still running like many OF's do IRL, especially Abreu. Very cool."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Sweat builds up around the brim of a pitchers cap as the game goes on.There is no place like Nebraska
Dear old Nebraska U.
Where the girls are the fairest,
The boys are the squarest,
Of any old school that I knew.
There is no place like Nebraska,
Where they're all true blue.
We'll all stick together,
In all kinds of weather,
For Dear old Nebraska U!
Won't change this signature until Nebraska wins the National Championship...posted 8/16/05Comment

I like when the corner outfielders flip the ball into the crowd after catching the third out.Comment

Pitching with Smoltz I messed up the pitch and left it hanging over the plate. The batter pulled it down the line for a homer and as he rounded the bases, the cut scene showed Smoltz going through the motion with his wrist of throwing the pitch and shaking his head...like he just didn't get enough rotation on it. Mets (me) vs. Braves. It was my first game period, and Santana gave up three earned in the first as I adjusted to the new pitching. By the third inning I ended up striking out the side and looked like I was going to cruise. In the fourth someone hits a liner right back at me and it bounces off my forehead straight over to David Wright and he catches it to make the final out....as the music cues and so do the cutscenes, I see Santana on the ground rolling around holding his head writhing in pain. Broken orbital bone...ouch! We went on to lose the game (of course)Comment
