Re: 2K blocks reviews until Game is officially released. (Breaking news)
No, I'm not. How can there be a "review embargo" when a huge game magazine has already reviewed it? You can't dispute that, it's a fact.
As to the guy asking "bitter about what", you'd have to ask him, he just comes off as a blowhard in all his reviews.Comment

Re: 2K blocks reviews until Game is officially released. (Breaking news)
all the more reason to have the demo out sooner...so people could get use to it. All the more reason for the review to come out...so reviewers could play it a bit and let gamers know that after the learning curve its solidComment

The person insulting the game is the same person who rated Madden 08 as the best football game ever!
There's no way he spends extended time playing the games. No way.The greatest team in the history of sports.

Or maybe not. That's the fun in speculation  .
I'll stick with OS and the OS folks/reviews to broaden/balance my opinion for sports games, on the whole it's far better then any other sports game coverage elsewhere.Comment

No? The blurb is up on metacritic, and plenty of people have their copies, so you are wrong there. There is no "embargo", plain and simple.Comment

They probably aren't diehard about the game though, so honestly it wouldn't really make much of a difference, they probably don't know a lot about the sport, and make inaccurate throws and stuff, and blame the game for there mistakes.Comment

that doesn't make any sense whatsoever..
what is the point in making that up when he said a week ago the review would come out on 3/3?Comment

And of course the best way to counter that is simple. If you're really, truly concerned about how good the game is rated... wait a day. Or two. Or the week or so for the OS review to come out. Heck, you still have 20+ days until the season starts to begin with, plenty of time not to spend your money.Comment

The same as the "embargoing" the review a whole day. I'm really don't see an IGN review a day early would really deter anyone who was going to get the game at midnight or rush to get it Tuesday morning. Us early purchase folks are largely there either way.Comment

Maybe 2k8 is the best game ever who knows, but it serves no point to defend a game against everyone who has a different opinionComment

Hilary seemed perturbed by 2k not allowed them to release a review. I wonder if he'll drop the overall score slightly out of spite. The greatest team in the history of sports.
