THATS exactly how a player should feel playing 2k8...I can just simply forget about the guy on first..even if it was Ricky Henderson......thats not baseball and plagues the gameplay to no-end.

Allright, so what do you have your steals set at...why would or should any other slider effect it?

I have to concur with this one, I have yet to see a steal attempt. In fact, I don't even know what you do if they do steal.

I just spent the last 10 minutes with that: run/steal sliders cranked up to 100, CPU Reyes on first, Mets down buy a run in the 8th inning. I couldn't get him to steal. Limited test, but seems he should have taken off once or twice at least.

I ran another test last night with the CPU Throw Strike sliders. Even with those set at 0, the CPU throws 95% strikes. I think some of the sliders in this game are not what you would call 'functional'.

Oh yeah I agree. I thought you meant there were no CPU steal attempts as that's what the OP was stating.

Thanks..try it at 0 and then 50 if you would be so kind?

Now I must say I 110% disagree with you on the throw strike sliders. I can draw a bunch of walks a game with middle-lower rated pitchers with these at 0..seems to be streaky...meaning that the walks sometime come 2-3 batters in a row ...very realistic no-less. I feel that the "Corners" slider has a huge impact on this too..I have mine at 0..since the strike zone is a bit bigger that it should be turning this at 0 make a huge difference on balls too.

2K/Kush is incredible though...they need to realize that an umpire has a strike zone..period and its a pretty small box. In this game it changes from hitter to hitter...knees to letters...folks that not a correct implementation...no ump EVER would do this.

                Thanks for testing the steals....

0 is the only way to go with that, yup. MLB 2K5 had an AI Location slider you used in conjunction with AI Corner. What it did, is it allowed you to determine by how much you wanted CPU-thrown balls to miss the strikezone. At 0, balls could miss the strikezone by as much as 18 inches. They removed that slider for some unknown reason. And IMO it hurts the game. CPU pitches when they miss, all miss too close to the strikezone, making it really difficult to tell balls from strikes.

With the cpu run aggression at 100, they don't go nuts trying to take extra bases on balls hit into the gap?

Also, I'm not seeing the walks issue, with the sliders for cpu pitching at 0, the cpu throws TOO MANY balls. I have it at 10 for the 3 of them. As for steals, I too am seeing no steal attempts by the cpu.

Well I will bump up my agression slider to 100 right now at 55. I have everything else at 100 though even sac bunts. I used to have 100 for sqeeze and I must say this slider works well..had to bump it down to 75!

Tried it last night. No dice.

Otherwise, last time I posted on this topic I said I've seen one steal attempt. Today, some 10-15 games later, I've still seen one steal attempt. Needs to be patched. End of thread.

Whoa, I want your disk! Seriously, I've tested at least 5 different starters for different teams, and with the Throw Strike sliders at 0, they lay waste to my lineup in 9-12 pitches every inning. I'm seeing 4-5 strikes for every ball thrown, even with those sliders at 0. And besides, with those sliders set at 0, pitches shouldn't even be near the strikezone.

well I cant speak for hum vs cpu right now becuz Ive been workin on some cpu vs cpu slider, with run agg at 100 im getting about four dbls a game both teams combine, somtimes I will get a tripple......altho they are a lil aggressive I see the occasionall 1st base to 3rd base advances mainly with fast guys tho.......

gobucks, how is sac bunt at 100 ? I tried that at 100 and lo duca attempted a bunt to advance the lead off man to 2nd in the 1st inning....also how good is squeeze at 75...I mite go with 75 for both
