Did someone say the stuttering and jerking during replays is still there? Ugh! That one drives me nuts. I "sold" this game on ebay but the buyer is stiffing me, so I'm trying to come to terms with keeping the game.

After I downloaded the patch I started up a game with the audio setting set to "on the field"(how I usually have it), and I only saw one cut scene pause in the 3 innings that I played.It happened after an inning just ended.It paused to load the highlights of the previous inning.

I quit that game ^ and started a new one with the commentary on, but I noticed that the cut scenes were pausing everytime.

Also, in the mailbox, all the emails are dated for 2007, was this fixed?

what fielding cam are you guys using? I seemed to have a little lag yet with pole, but no with aerial.

Since I downloaded the patch this morning...I've played 1 complete game. Since then the game has frozen 4 consecutive times at various times (menu and in game). Ahhhhh.

after patches you have to clear the xbox cache or the freeze'ing will keep happening. It happens with their other sports games as well and with Fifa08. Only EA game i own. Hell, it happens with Bioshock as well.

Can anyone confirm if the PS3 patch for MLB2k8 is available?

It is not available, nor does it appear they will fix the framerate problem with it. Nor do they have opening day rosters available.

I have always been a big defender of 2k, but for PS3 owners at the least, they've really dropped the ball. This is very disappointing.

thank god for this patch!! i can finally play the game without shutting if off because of a headache from stuttering framerate! this really plays a great game of baseball!! i liked the game before, but i love it now!!

I have been freeze-free for about 40 games now.... Do I need to re-up the cache, or can I just Download the content and go with that?

Definitely smoother, I can use the non ariel camera now (field view?). Throws from 3rd to 1st no problem. Still very slight skip when throws come from the outfield on deeply hit balls. Noticed a long signing out screen when quitting the game-no big deal, just different.

Can someone help me out I cant play online because it says I have a bad roster or something to that sort. I use chris nelson's roster against cpu and i cant play online without the default roster. but it wont let me sign in to 2k8 to download it this is only since the patch

How do I clear the cache on the Xbox 360?

Clearing the cache on the Xbox 360 is a fairly simple process, and can be useful if the system seems sluggish, unresponsive, or you just need to get rid of a game update (for whatever reason).
The most important part of clearing the cache is knowing what to expect. All downloaded game updates will be removed. So if you have downloaded an auto-update for a game, in order to play it on Xbox Live you will need to re-download it.
User game saves, profiles, demos, videos, etc. are not deleted during the process.
Clear the Cache on the Xbox 360

To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following:

• Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
• Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
• Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed.

I believe you could also try the old "Oblivion" method as well. All you had to do for that was hold the "A" button till you got to the start screen..(iirc)
