and your playing on PS3? How do you stand the framerate? I popped it in a few days ago and missed a catch in right cause the framerate. The pitcher/batter interface is good but the fielding is rough. Hopefully firmware 2.42 will improve this game.

Re: Just bought it for PS3
This was my problem as well, and it ultimately drove me away from the series. I could get 10+ hits per game with relative ease, even against good pitchers (they would just be singles instead of doubles or home runs).Comment

I would love the show if wasnt for this problem. I just dont fear any pitcher in the show and it doesnt matter how bad of a lineup I have.Comment

Re: Just bought it for PS3
Are you two getting all these hits on the PS3 version of The Show on HoF level, with Guess Pitch and the Strike Zone turned off, and the CPU Pitch Speed and Confidence maxed?!?! Do you get that many or more every game? What are your team averages?
If you are getting those type of numbers with those settings, your next step is the blindfold!Last edited by Woodweaver; 08-01-2008, 09:34 AM."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: Just bought it for PS3
Good to hear people enjoying this game. I've been thinking of picking this up for my 360. I have The Show on PSP but I only play RTTS, as I just can't get into a season mode on that version.
How much is this game retailing for these days? Used?Currently Playing:

Re: Just bought it for PS3
I'm not sure how much you could find it for; $40 dollars used would be my guess.
Understand the game some warts (too many), but plays a very good game of baseball. Pick it up and let us know what you think!Comment

Re: Just bought it for PS3
Bought the game today. Got a used copy and only wound up paying $20 as I had store credit plus the 10% off.
Only played 2 games so far but am really having a blast. Pitching is tough and I'm just playing Pro (or second from easiest level). Batting and fielding are also fun. Glad I picked this up. I'll probably stay away from messing with sliders until I get a better handle on the game mechanics.Currently Playing:

Re: Just bought it for PS3
To me it wasn't any different this year. I tried all those settings & still managed to get 10+ singles a game, alot up the middle... Damn you 2K & your framerate issue..."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Re: Just bought it for PS3
Returned The Show today because of the weird hitting physics and awful signature styles. I want to go get 2K, but can someone tell me if there is a fix for the framerate issue? Like the 360? Did a patch fix the issue? That's my only concerns.Comment
